I am obviously by my name of a Pakistani origin. I went in last week with my mother to have a look at the antiques. Lovely pieces Infact absolutely amazing pieces of furniture. The downfall is the lady owner was quite obviously taken aback by having a Pakistani ladies presence there. My mother who?s 70 was stared at not only by the lady owner but their clients too. Their faces said it all. They did not expect an Asian man with his mother there! The lady owner was walking towards my mum took one look and started looking at the display with her back towards her so she didn?t have to smile or give any eye contact! Did you think I was blind???.i didn?t say owt as my mum was with me. Your customers are just as ignorant as you are. Arrogance and ignorance at its best! The man was friendly enough but when I asked for any display units he simply said go and have a look.but I hate to break it to ya love. I?m from Blackburn and I can speak and understand English. And guess what I wasn?t blind neither your face said it all! Next time an Asian person comes try and smile and make them feel welcome or just put a sign up saying no Asians cos quite frankly we are racist and only serve whites . Shame on you and your establishment

Went to the Tea Rooms with a friend. Food was nice with good service. Portions were not too large for brunch/lunch. Parking is limited which made leaving a little tricky.

Lovely cafe with nice selection of food just make sure you get there at least 30 minutes before they close.
We got there with 20 minutes to go and got the hard stare service ????. Great pity as it spoilt it and we were only planning to have a quick cup of tea so we were out in 15 minutes anyway ?

Visited Holden Wood Antiques twice now.
The first thing that struck me was the beautiful building and its surroundings.
There are benches to sit and enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the venue and its surroundings.
The entrance is at the rear with car parking spaces that are free.
As you would expect from an Antique Sales Venue, there is a variety of things to ponder over. Pictures, ornaments, jewellery, books, and lots more.
We spent approximately an hour viewing the sale items and a further half hour outside in the sun, admiring the views.
The main entrance has a few steps, and there are stairs to get from the ground floor sales to the upper sales floor.
It was not too busy when we first visited, (late afternoon weekday) so quite a relaxed time without any parking or crowding issues, 5***** unlike the second visit, ( lunch time weekend) which we had to wait for someone to leave to get a parking spot, and browsing was more difficult.
The number of people in the antique sales didn't equate to the lack of parking!! "However, the 'tea room' was extremely busy." ?
We didn't use the tea room, and so review is for the Antiques Sales Only.
The staff on the antique sales reception and payment area were very friendly and helpful.
