We called in here today. 1st time. We shared a toastie which was really tasty
Good coffee and tea. Hubby wanted a pork pie he had seen on Facebook page. All sold but we're told more were in the oven so waited for them to be cooked. Took longer than told they would be but we were happy sitting on the outside benches. Have to say the pork pies we're worth the wait. Hubby says The Best. We are a 45 minute drive away but will be going back .

Really disappointed with my visit today I come here on a regular basis, entered as normally would got menus and sat down on a table that was being cleared a young silent girl came and wiped table down replace cutlery and napkins had a look at lunch menu and decided on what we wanted waited close to 30 minutes without being asked did we want a drink let alone what we wanted for food, several times we tried to commune with said silent girl and each time she turned away and would not make eye contact to the point we stood up and left I understand we all have to start somewhere and I understand it can be quite intimidating working within the hospitality industry but quite frankly if you can?t have the basic life skills to communicate make basic eye contact and have a percentage of confidence in your role then you either need more basic training or find something you don?t have to communicate with the public honestly really upset view of the village bakehouse.
Hopefully on our next visit said girl understands how to take a customers order or smile

Nice little cafe, set in such a weird (yet very nice) location ? it actually looks like a Block of Changing Rooms next to the Grass Pitches ?
There are seats/tables outside and some inside, it's a very tranquil setting.
Coffee and their Sausage Bap are very nice ?
Price is pretty reasonable ?
Parking: There is a very large, free Car Park adjacent to it ?

Really gorgeous little cafe in the heart of halsall which I feel could be missed if you didn't know it was there.
The staff are so lovely and welcoming and we're keen to help me with a menu so I could decide what I wanted.
The food is gorgeous and you are welcome to sit inside or outside depending on the weather.
On the last occasion I visited I ordered drinks only and they offered to bring them out to me as I was alone with my round children who were playing in the park. Really helpful and saved me waiting inside for 5-10 mins while my drink was made and no eyes on my boys.
In the vicinity are two lovely playgrounds for both younger (toddler aged) and older (5-10) kids.
Please do make a visit if you're in the Southport / burscough / ormskirk area. you won't be disappointed
Parking: Lots of parking spaces outside the cafe
Kid-friendliness: Two great parks right outside

Lovely little place for coffee and cake. Places to sit outside when the weather is nice, with views over the fields.
Good, home made cake too.

Lovely food served by friendly staff in a well decorated but unusual cafe looking out over the local cricket field. With plenty of parking. Easily missed if you do not know it is there, but we'll worth the visit.

Great place for some breakfastKid-friendliness: I sometimes take my grandson. He plays in the child friendly park and I'll get a coffee and sandwich to go, and sit on the bench at the park

I love going here, it's a really peaceful setting and lovely to take our 4 year old grandson, there's a great play area and also a separate one for younger children. There's a great selection of food, drinks, even ice cream. The staff are so friendly and efficient.
