Lovely cooked breakfast and coffee

This place is more than just a coffee shop. Had a very nice jacket potato filled with prawns & a pot of tea. I arrived just after 1pm on a sunny Tuesday in August. Sat at a table with a view towards the car park that has a nearby glamping site. Tables to my left and right were enjoying a delicious looking afternoon teas. I also noticed a bottle of dandelion & burdock on one table! I will return with my partner and hope to have the same.

We went for a coffee and cake. We ordered 2 lattes, 1 piece of victoria sponge and apple pie with custard.
There was a 15 minute wait then the cakes arrived, no drinks these were a further 10 mins.
The victoria sponge was from Costco,
Not the best. The custard was sour and when I went to tell them, the young waitress just giggled at me and said The custard is sour! No apology. Another young waitress overheard and asked if I wanted something else, I declined.
When I went to pay, the young lady said i won't charge you for the apple pie!
She went to get a man from the kitchen to remove this from our bill, again no apology, he never even looked at me.
Not sure if he was the owner.
While we we there other people sent food back.
Very poor and dissapointing visit. Would not return as there are some many more better places to spend your money.

Very nice place. great service. We enjoyed the food and the views of the horses training and alpacas roaming. Definitely will come back.

Firstly let me say the service was amazing from all the staff. Really friendly and I feel if we had picked different dishes we may have had a different experience, but my husband ordered the steak pink and it was very well done but it looked grey. I had the mince and onion pie and it was very average. The burgers looked amazing though. I also feel the much lauded view isnt much to write home about. You are basically looking at a stable block.

We held a 60 th Birthday celebration at the Lookout on Saturday. What a wonderful venue for a party. Andrea and Ben helped us with the organisation. The food was incredible, the venue stunning. We had a day to remember . I cannot rate them highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble. If you are considering a special birthday, a wedding, Christening etc look no further. It's unique location and atmosphere are spectacular. A wonderful young couple who deserve the support of a community. One regret , we can't do it all again.
Thank you Andrea , Ben and all of the wonderful staff. Absolutely Amazing.
