We had read all the amazing reviews about Stirk house and the wedding team but nothing can prepare you for how amazing they all are. We got married January 2025 and our day was made so special by Danielle, Lucy and Dave but also by each and every staff member we met along the way. All of our guests were complimentary on how comfortable the hotel was, the fantastic food and the outstanding service alongside the beauty of the building itself and it's gorgeous setting.

We have been here many times with my company, Destiny Wedding Cars, but never as a guest. I always like to go to venues as a customer so I can recommend venues with confidence. I can quite honestly say this is a hidden gem of a venue and the food at the restaurant was perfect. Highly recommended and we will be calling again, without a shadow of a doubt.

We dined in Seasons during our stay for my daughters wedding. The service was first class, the food was excellent and a good varied menu. The menu for our wedding event was chosen at a pre taster event a couple of months before the wedding. The food was that good, it made choosing very difficult. The food served on the day was incredible. The breakfast was a buffet style, but was freshly cooked and served at the open kitchen counter. Best buffet style breakfast I have ever had, none of the many items on offer had been sat in the trays for long and it all tasted fresh and hot. Highly recommended

We went for festive afternoon tea to cap off a couples day out. Lovely friendly welcome, seated at a table in the lovely Seasons restaurant. Superb selection of finger sandwiches, pigs on blankets and Brie wedges as savoury accompanied by a selection of seasonal cakes and sweet treats, with if course the lightest fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, served warm. Lashings of tea and coffee supplied. Service was quick and friendly, all in all a lovely pre-Christmas afternoon tea, highly recommended.

Unbelievable food, service was amazing Christina was so so good. It was quiet with a great atmosphere. We had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. Great price food and drink and is a perfect place to eat should you be staying at the hotel like we were. Breakfast is great with the best tasting sausage and black pudding ever. Also has the best brown sauce in the world in my opinion. Thanks for a great even guys can?t wait to come back.

Lovely place, great parking and fabulous service ?drinks not badly priced. Sunday lunch food was really great however portion size was underwhelming and over priced. Such a shame.

We went for a Sunday Roast dinner . Ambience of restaurant excellent welcoming and friendly . Staff lovely - professional but friendly with a relaxing manner .Food tasty and really enjoyable. Whole experience lovely . Will definitely be going again . Deserves a Gold Star .

We came back to the stirkhouse to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary it was amazing and just as special as it was when we got married there 10 years ago , the service , the food was unbelievable and the staff couldn't do enough for us from service to being greeted with champagne on our arrival to repeating a photo at the entrance all them years ago .! Thankyou it meant so much and we would do it all again just to be there celebrating beautiful venue 5 star service as always even after all these years thankyou x sonia & Glen britton

Our meal was excellent and the staff at Stirk House are incredibly friendly. The only slight issue was the mushroom risotto which was very salty. Other than that - everything was very high quality and delicious. It is really well prepared quality food with service that is second to none. Would definitely go again.

We enjoyed our visit very much the fillet steak was beautifully cooked, the only other comment there could have been a few more vegetables. Looking forward to going there again.

There was a noisy, birthday party and not quite enough staff, but they were very pleasant and the restaurant is nice. Breakfast was great

Fantastic service all round in our short break but the friendliness and attentiveness of the Seasons team was exceptional. Special mentions for the irrepressible Dave at evening meal and Sue at Breakfast.

I came with my friend for the afternoon tea. The venue is stunning. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were brilliant they couldn't do enough for us, will definitely be back thankyou.
