Terrible Service and poor communication!
Placed an order on 17/3/25 for print on demand fabrics. Received an email on 23rd April thanking me for my patience and letting me know my fabric has been printed and is on its way. Since I hadn?t received by the 30th April I emailed for an update-no response! Emailed again on 3rd May response on 5th - hoping fabrics would be with them this last week. It?s now 12th May still no fabrics and no further communication. it?s now 9 WEEKS yep that?s correct 9 Weeks since I placed the order . How bad is that such a terrible service

Very outdated. Synthetic fibres and plastic packaging everywhere. No receipt provided for in person purchase, which turned out to be £8 overcharged. Massive quantities of unsellable stock, presumably will end up in landfill. Online purchases were very slow to be delivered and again wrapped in unnecessary plastic. Seems to appeal mostly to American customers who may be less aware of environmental impact

Slow website, search engine doesn't always find the fabric even though it?s there.
Previous order was slow delivered and faulty, another item I was told was out of stock 1 week after ordering it. Ordered again I should know better, 8 days, no contact, so I contacted to see if it?s been sent,
We've had an unprecedented number of orders and we are working hard to ship them out to you as quickly as possible.
Not really good enough, won?t be using them again

Like other reviews I?ve experienced a delay in orders . Minerva?s excuse is a glut of orders but I don?t believe this. I?m going to start looking at other sites to buy fabric. Customer service is very poor

Fantastic selection of fabrics and accessories. I love being able to buy samples of the fabric. Great YouTube channel too.

Poor quality control during fabric checking - obvious faults and fabric not fit for purpose

Fabrics are good quality but I?ve noticed for some time now when an order is despatched late or is missing they don?t seem to take responsibility. I.e sending out a replacement till the missing one is dealt with. And they won?t refund for delivery despite despatching and delivering later than stated. I also own a business so I truly believe where there?s been an issue on the businesses end, they should swallow the responsibilities of that.

I have been using Minerva for years. Always difficult when buying fabric unseen sometimes it's a nice surprise, sometimes not so much! I've had some great fabrics from them at good prices. Much easier with sewing notions, zips cotton etc and for that I would give 5*
If items in stock delivery is usually very quick.

Placed an order on the 9th. Info says they despatch within 24hours. 2 days later and no email to say its been despatched. Sent email to ask. But its the weekend so dont hold out much hope of a reply before monday. But they took my payment fast enough!!!

Painfully slow delivery twice now for samples which both times have prevented me from buying fabric from them as I can't wait a month from choosing samples to recieving chosen fabric. Definitely won't bother trying again as I've lost money on buying samples twice now

I?ve ordered a lot of fabric from this shop over the years but recently I?ve had several issues and I?m disappointed. Most recently I received the wrong colour fabric and they wanted me to return the fabric before they dispatched the correct fabric. First of all I didn?t receive an Apology and I don?t see why the customer should have to go through the inconvenience when it is their mistake. Unfortunately I will be taking my business elsewhere and I would not recommend.

Shocking service!
I ordered fabric on 22th July, paid for 24hours delivery service and few minutes ago I called them to check what actually is happening on the third working day. So I have been told that the fabric is out of stock and they can?t deliver my order. Three days I waiting for the order and if is out of stock why I never received an email or phone call or even cancelation on the order?!
They easily take the money, but can they actually provide the service you paying for is the big question? Definitely NO!

2024 update: revising my review back up to 5 stars. In the 5 years since I wrote my original review, Minerva has made their return process so much easier and their newer website is also easier to navigate. Now my go to online shop for haberdashery for their extensive range. I have also emailed to ask about stock and received quick and helpful replies.Always ordered online and not had any problems. Prompt delivery and have been able to return fabrics for a refund when I hadn't used them.Edit:I've always found Minerva to have a great selection and good service but this has been slipping lately. I emailed on 28th March and 3rd April and finally again on their website today before I received a reply which still doesn't address missing needles in my order. The returns form is also never properly attached to my despatch emails so I have to email to have one forwarded. With the current customer service or lack of, this is adding too much effort from the customer's end which makes me wonder if it is deliberate to stop returns...I'd been considering joining their craft club again this year but with the current service, I might have to start looking elsewhere for my supplies
