Went for a meal. The food itself Sunday Roast was good. The food was hot. The quantity was not generous for the increased prices that the Crown is now offering.I think it was expensive for the amount of food given. The menu is very limited and four things pub grub were unavailable. The desserts only two to choose from were tiny for the price paid.The building itself was let down by the ladies toilets. One not working no flush. The other had no lock on the door trying to hold the door shut with your foot whilst on the loo is not privacy or health and safety. This needs to be rectified immediately. I know it's been recently taken over but things need to be improved in order to be successful in a competitive market. May be a while b 4 we visit again.

Very nice place overall, and good value in general.However, some of the service was lacking, nothing wrong with the staff, but the place was somewhat disorganised; on my first morning I was woken up early because they believed I hadn't paid, despite doing so weeks in advance, I also had to move rooms half way through because they put me in the wrong one.For all that Colne was a lovely place to visit, and if you go, well, there's nowhere better in the town. Literally, I think this is the only guesthouse.Rooms: Comfortable enough, although heating, in January seemed to be something of a lottery. Also the guest WiFi was spotty in some rooms. I found the beds a bit too firm, but your mileage may varyFood & drinks: The hotel restaurant is rather overpriced. The food was good but £15 for a main seems excessive.

In addition to the fact that the common bathroom did not have toilet paper or hand soap.There was no heat in the room. I talked to them and they ignored me.the windows are very bad as if they were not there (a very loud noise is heard and the cold came through them.I mention that I had a room with 2 single beds and a public bathroom.

Went today for the Sunday dinner it was absolutely delicious we had sticky toffee pudding for desert that was delicious too. Staff very friendly and polite. We will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended ??????????
