I went several years ago and put myself behind three people queuing at the solitary till of three that was open. Meanwhile Santander women in smart red blazers strutted round importantly, doing the old army dodge of holding a sheet of paper to show us they were "busy". Eventually, after about 5 minutes the queue behind me was longer than that ahead. I pointed this out to a Redcoat who said loftily that it wasn't part of her job to "do the till".My simple visit (no, you can't withdraw large cash sums for Race Nights any more) took me at least 30 minutes. When I eventually reached the counter and explained my views to the poor lass sitting there she rolled her eyes as though she heard this complaint day after day.Utterly disgraceful service. Appallingly slow and customer-unfriendly in spades.I'm going again tomorrow to talk about my account's sudden appearance of having been hacked into. I'll keep you all posted.

Waiting half an hour for attention, then talk to member of staff and get not needed information. Get another appointment. Not happy

I would like to praise ALL members of staff at the Colne Branch, but a special Thank You to Sonia (Saturday morning) who assisted me on the computer with paying our remaining mortgage off, I do use online banking, but lacked confidence in paying such an amount off on the app, on my own, but she was absolutely awesome and now we are totally mortgage free.

Saturday morning. Three people are stood doing nothing asking if they can help while one woman slowly works at the counter. Here?s a good idea, put an extra person in the counter! A fifth guy is sat in his office looking at his phone!

Lots of staff asking the huge queue what they need. Instead of standing there doing nothing, sit behind a desk and put my money into my account. Doing it via the machines is frustrating as they don't like the new plastic money.

A joke. Pure and simple. Several staff miling around telling everyone where to go, except there's no one there to go to. Never seen so much time taken up in asking daft questions to people who want to perform a simple transaction. This is the trick: keep going to the bank people, keep getting annoyed with the incredulity of the place, and then you'll go to internet banking to save your blood pressure.Then they say "there are no people coming to the branch; let's close it". Or, you queue for so long (this is purpouse-driven) so that you just walk out in disgust. Now we don't as many staff, and so the self-fulfilling prophecy goes on!Won't be long before this one goes too. The rest in the 10 mile area have. They have made this lovely, comfy environment with nice chairs and casual staff (how much did this cost?), but it is to lull you into doing everything via "the cash machine", which is nearly always out of order anyway. It is simple polishing a txxd.

Absolutely useless people at Colne branch. If you come ask for advice they will tell you have a look on website. *Facepalm* *sigh* In that case I don't understand for what they're paid... To do nothing ?
