Just a well run country pub that does food!

Excellent pub, booked a table to meet up with relatives for lunch. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Good menu, reasonable prices, and food was excellent. Service was very good. Plenty of parking around the back. Nice walks around the village

Really good food great to take your dog plenty of parking as this is in short supply in the area when dining out. Service very friendly and welcoming

Walkability: Ideal place to call in after a walk in summer perfect outside to sit.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst working locally.
Rooms are very clean and seem to be very newly decorated. Food is excellent quality and portions are massive. Very nice local atmosphere in the bar and staff are very friendly and happy to help.

Excellent pub, let's walkers with dogs in, great food with a beautifully cooked liver n onions on the menu, a spicy Shiraz to was it down with and proper northern folk all chatting together, a perfect ending to a testing afternoon walk, heartily recommended
Nearby activities: Waddington village very pretty with a stream running through, and stunning walking country all around, drove behind a truck from the local Pheasant shoot with 20 brace or so on their way to the table, marvellous.
Safety: Can be tricky on some walking areas with sphagnum moss and muddy tracks
Walkability: Good to testing
Food & drinks: Fabulous.
Noteworthy details: Waddington arms has a great chef with service to 9pm Saturday
