An outstanding classic pub with plenty of charm. The food is amazing but what really makes this country pub is the staff ! You are greeted as soon as you step foot through the door and looked after all the same whether you are dining or just drinking. Dog friendly with roaring fires and cozy rooms. Good choice of beer and an excellent food menu.

We visited for the 1st time last night with friends for food, the service and atmosphere was excellent, Isaac?s customer service skills were excellent, he was very polite and professional. The food was amazing, very large portions, I couldn?t eat all the turkey there was that much, they were happy for me to take it home, my cats and dog loved it. I will most definitely be returning. Thank you so much to all staff for making us very welcome x

Simply perfect in every way! Brilliant selection of real ales, superb meal and a brilliant warm and friendly atmosphere. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, the pub is everything you want from a traditional pub including a warm welcome from the locals. The bar manager saved us a parking space and showed us to our room ensuring everything and gave us all the information we needed. The room was beautiful! And scenary is the perfect finish! The Lower Buck Inn smashed it out of the park! Perfect ?

Best pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord around. Even better after a ride round Gisburn Forest.
Food is ace.
Niggle... We were asked to vacate a room in the pub when we were with the dog. We were told that it was because it had a new carpet fitted! Huh? Walkers and farmers all over the place. Not impressed.

Lovely pub with good beers and a fire. Great after a walk in the country for a pub lunch. Prices a bit steep though. The food is great but not quite good enough for the prices they charge. We only have an insight of two dishes though, perhaps some others are more 'worth-it'. I would still recommend a visit!

My husband and I had an outstanding meal late afternoon today. We dropped in after spending time in Clitheroe. Fabulous atmosphere, lovely and friendly staff and our meals top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

We came here as a big group and the staff were very accommodating! As someone who eats gluten free they had some amazing options and the food was so tasty. Highly recommend and would love to visit again if I?m in the area ?

A lovely village inn with a lovely community feel. The services was outstanding, service you do t get anymore. The food was excellent, All home made, well presented, and with good portions.
I would reccomend the lower buck to anyone and everyone, my Aussie mates will love it when they come over.
