Came in and got seated by a horrible woman. So bossy to us and made my entire family feel intimidated. She sat us at a table and rudely slammed down the menus and quickly told us the ordering info.
Not a single smile of her, just a death stare. This was the woman in black pants, tight black bun and a green blouse. Honestly the attitude from her was disturbing. We ordered 3 fish and chips and 3 sodas. Very sloppy and overpriced. Chips were dry and flavourless. No chance of getting a refund from the manager! She did not want to hear about it, too busy shouting at her co workers.
Would still appreciate my money back.
Rest of the staff all seemed scared of her too! She ruined our trip to the Ribble Valley, will never be back.

We bought some garden furniture but picked up the wrong colour from the warehouse. A quick phone call to the store and they were very happy to deliver the correct items to us.
Excellent communication and very friendly service.

A great range of products for the home and garden. A good range of home furniture at varying prices with some great sale deals. Staff were very helpful. Did not take the opportunity to use the cafe, but certainly will on our next visit.

Absolutely delighted with our new sofa and chairs. The sofa looks fantastic and the quality and workmanship is first class. Great customer service from the gentleman who served us and the delivery guys who set it up. Definitely recommend.

Garden and lifestyle centre with a cafe attached. Good rage of furniture from chairs, suites to beds and everything in between. Garden centre hardware and assesories is good but the plants are only OK and bedding plants are better bought elsewhere. Cafe is always busy and you have to wait outside for a table. Food is OK.

The ten year guarantee is a loud of rubbish, we had a table after two years the finish went from grey wood to white! They offered us £100 !

We found the cafe to be lovely but expensive. Quiche and chips was £17 and the chips weren't anything special, the quiche was OK but I wouldn't pay that much for that meal again.

Update December 2024.
Sofa gone, taken away by the council.
Poor sofa from the start to end.

As you can see from the 2 new photos. I have added a foam layer 3cm thick to give both the seats extra cushion. They are much better now. I can't feel the springs in the base now from the this poorly stuffed seat cushion that Shackletons refused to change..
Update June 2022: see photo - you can see how the foam filling isn't thick enough to fill out the outer cover, resulting in a flatter/thinner seat cushion.
The reply from Shackletons means nothing, I still have a defective sofa, I am still not being believed, very disappointing..
Update, August 2021: Recently bought a quality sofa from them, lovely sofa, but lots of issues after delivery, still on going, very disappointing, they need to have a better relationship with Buoyant furniture as they are letting Shackletons down.
Update November 2021. I'm left with a good comfy sofa, but it's not perfect and it should be! Be sure to check sofa carefully on delivery, make notes, photo everything and keep track of dates. Basically zero quality control from
Shackletons/Buoyant, if they had checked things before delivery none of this would have happened.
A potential 5 star sofa that's brought down to 1 star due to the quality control at Buoyant and the customer service at Shackletons not believing you.
