Good shop,

This shop was lovely, it was clean, well laid out and very helpful staff. The vegetables shelves, well maintained and had a great variety.I always thought these stores were pricey compared to say Tescos etc. But I was pleasantly surprised. Also in my now new opinion better quality foods. You didn't need a pound for a trolley and they also had nice clean toilets. My only gripe was at the checkout. I don't like self service checkouts as I am disabled and not good at bending etc. However I had no choice, as they only had 1 serviced checkout and there was a rather long queue. So honestly I would suggest. If you hadn't been in sainsburys to bite the bullet and go in.

We went last night and it was soooo good!! Every time we go it seems to get better! Even with a pretty full house, our dishes came quickly, were delicious and as always, the staff are kind, friendly and efficient! Love this place ?

This store has a policy (enthusiastically enforced, I am told and have witnessed) of only letting two unaccompanied schoolchildren in together at any one time. I suppose I almost understand it: a large group of youngsters could be tricky to control in a store which always appears to be chronically understaffed, though it?s a shame they're automatically labelled as a potential problem by Sainsbury's and is hardly the positive affirmation one would hope for.In keeping with the policy, my daughter recently entered the store with a friend, with the intention of buying a hair product before school. She didn't find what she wanted, so accompanied her friend to the self checkout (it's a lucky shopper who finds a manned till in this store), where she was challenged by a staff member as to whether she had bought anything herself. She confirmed that she hadn't, whereupon this unpleasant store drone insisted she leave immediately and, rather than allow her to wait with her friend, physically escorted her to the exit, berating her for the duration of the short walk and forcing her to wait not even in the foyer, but outside in the pouring rain, while her friend scanned her item.I long since stopped shopping online with Sainsbury's, as their tendency to replace items with entirely incongruous substitutions became something close to a joke, and it's a shame to see that this policy of unfortunate substitutions also applies to their staff; pleasantness replaced by bombast and decency replaced by the pitiful need to exert power over a 14 year-old girl.

Staff lovely and very helpful! But the carpark is a joke, parents and child spots constantly full with cars without children, blatantly, 2 seaters sports cars, vans etc, not a baby seat in site. The shop can be empty but the carpark full. It is being misused and nobody is monitoring it.
December 2023 by Bob ?Retro? So it is
The shop and produce are fine, the two members of staff we encountered on the other hand were very rude.Served at the checkout by a tall gentleman about 50yo with glasses. He picked up the bottles of Bailey's we were buying and waved them at his adjacent colleague. The female colleague replied, 'yes, I've seen' whilst rolling her eyes. She then went on to remark to the customers she was serving what a 'good buy' Bailey's was, 'but some customers buy more than two'.They were mocking us, which made us feel very uncomfortable. Will not shop here again. ?

I wouldn't even rate 1star,Very disappointed with Sainsbury's,I have shopped online with this store for at least 10 years. The quality of my fruit and other products were not as fresh as I had hoped, black bananas everything very close to best before date so I emailed the head office and guess what, that's right They weren't interested in the slightest, basically what do you expect if you shop online. Well I expect my food to last more than a couple of days.I've been spending up to £150 pwk with my online shopping, not even an apology or voucher for my inconvenience. Well Sainsbury's it was good while it lasted, I'm moving on to a store that actually appreciates their customers. I would rather spend my hard earned cash somewhere else. You definitely need to up your game Sainsbury's it's a dog eat dog society.Your loss

This store is too small and doesn't have as much choice as larger Sainsburys.
