I needed some advice about an email I had received from TSB. I was the only customer in the bank. The customer service assistant behind the desk made me wait whilst she finished attending to her computer which was mildly annoying. Her customer service skills need to be addressed (I speak from experience as I work in a customer facing position). She was patronising, showed no empathy and really wasn't interested in my concern, she probably wanted to get back to her computer. I left feeling more annoyed than when I walked in.
I have to say that when we opened our account with TSB 15 years ago their customer service was excellent. What has happened?

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a financial institution. What seems to matter most are the bank?s inflexible, time-consuming and certainly not customer-friendly processes, paperwork and procedures. My experience is that staff are often condescending and patronizing and that a customer is simply an inconvenience that has to be tolerated. I witnessed staff being rude to a customer and then talking about him, in the hearing of other customers, when he had gone. The branch is often unstaffed with customers having to wait for someone to appear from back offices somewhere. I stayed with the bank throughout their I.T. debacle but have now decided to close my accounts and move to a bank who value their customers and customer interaction. A enormous amount of urgent staff re-training would seem to be required.

TSB how disgusting the lady at the counter is when she talks you you she might know things but one thing she don?t know is how to talk to customers definitely needs to go on some training , I think they all need some training we are the ones who put money in the bank so we should be treated better .

I had all intentions of opening an account at the Chorley branch. To my dismay I found the staff to be inpatient and rude. I said thankyou and walked out. I might add I'm not going back there!

Unfortunately I had to visit this branch recently to sort out an issue however I was met by the most rude, patronising individual who couldn't care less about customer service. After 28 years with TSB I am now looking to take my business elsewhere.

Would not change the £10 note I got from their cash machine to £5 notes because I did not have an account with them. Not what I would call a proper bank!

Slow with only one desk open, if you are lucky another staff member will appear if there is a big line of people. Sometimes get nice staff, sometimes get one with an attitude problem serving.

The bank has both external and internal cash machines. You can pay utility bills via staff or a specially designed ATM that reads cheques. The whole bank has had major changes and redecorations. It's had a major physical revisions. There are no multiple staff behind glass partitions as before. They keep the doors open and some wear masks. The inside is flat, so wheelchair users have easy access in the bank. This bank was used to arrange power of attorney over my father's affairs and although it wasn't all done by this bank, they definitely aided us complete this with a solicitor.

Very understanding and helpful bank staff who will guide customers with hidden disabilities. I am extremely impressed and would highly recommend this bank.

The staff were very helpful when we went in on a Saturday. Saved us a 16 mile round trip to visit our own bank in Preston. Thank you.
