Popped into Chorley for a bit of food and some beers (we live in Bolton, so that explains itself! ?)
On our way past Timpson?s my other half remembered his watch hasn?t been fastening properly? nipped in to see if it could be sorted.
Met Stan, he had a little plaque saying he?d worked there for 49 years (this may not be fully accurate) with a photo of him with his grandchildren? loved it straight away!
Stan took the watch into the back, tried all sorts, wouldn?t stop until he?d sorted it. Absolute perfectionist!
Reappeared, after sorting it, good as new, absolutely refused to take a penny for his service, even after us literally trying to force payment!
THIS is the kind of business that needs support. Old school, genuine kindness and customer service that needs a medal! ??

Had a really great experience with Timpsons in Chorley today. I was redirected there by the booth at Tesco Extra, and they could not have been more helpful, polite and friendly. Got my shoe repair done in 10 minutes! I was so pleased and grateful and am sad I didn't catch the chap's name to add to the review because he was so lovely, kind and pleasant. Thanks so much again for your quick and excellent service!

Excellent workmanship. Mis communication about when the boots would be ready, but this was satisfactorily resolved.

Went to get my trousers adjusted, would highly recommend. Paid £20 for the adjustment and a crease thing in them, the lady did them and returned it within 4 days so was very impressed as timpson normally take 2-3 weeks.

Had a key fob battery fitted for 16.49.. didn't work, wrong type, had the correct one fitted at BMW ( mini ) for 4.20...rip off

I took a pair of old boots in to be re soled the man with the mask on ( Stan the man) said they were in a bad state but would do his best, I picked them up a week later and they looked better than new, highly recommended Timpson's of Chorley Stan The Man
