“Popped into Chorley for a bit of food and some beers (we live in Bolton, so that explains itself! ?)
On our way past Timpson’s my other half remembered his watch hasn’t been fastening properly… nipped in to see if it could be sorted.
Met Stan, he had a little plaque saying he’d worked there for 49 years (this may not be fully accurate) with a photo of him with his grandchildren… loved it straight away!
Stan took the watch into the back, tried all sorts, wouldn’t stop until he’d sorted it. Absolute perfectionist!
Reappeared, after sorting it, good as new, absolutely refused to take a penny for his service, even after us literally trying to force payment!
THIS is the kind of business that needs support. Old school, genuine kindness and customer service that needs a medal! ❤️”
