On Friday 25th I had my worst experience ever in Poundland. I nipped in for few items but needed a wire basket, rather the pull-along trolley type.
They are normally by the door as you walk in, but there were none there. I could see a member of staff talking to a customer. So I positioned myself about 7ft away, but in her clear line of vision to catch her attention.
For about 3 or 5 minutes they were asking each other what they doing at the weekend and whether the customer had got everything they needed. Once they said their goodbyes I expected to be asked if I needed any help, I wasn't; the member of staff then went to the till to serve another customer. It was almost as if I wasn't there. I just decided to go round and just carry everything to a self service check out. I will certainly be avoiding that particular member of staff from now on.

Pre covid was when in my opinion these types of shop thrived but due to shopping habits they are a tad more expensive than online shops
