As soon as I walk into this Coop (pronounced coop as in hen coop LOL) I hear the tinkling ivories of the theme tune to the American 1980s TV show Cheers ? sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name ? ? This is because the staff are so friendly and helpful ? Nicola, Yvonne and The Jaynes to namecheck just a few. The staff offer a kind of customer care where giving you the shirt off their back is just part of the service, especially noticeable in this the Age of Corona. Their own brand of kid?s nappies are utterly adorable, even though they are quite a lot more expensive than ALDI (£4 for 27 versus £5 for 72). The sometimes higher prices for more stylish and classier products make me feel like I am shopping in a down-to-earth Waitrose. Thank you for helping to keep a reassuring food and drink supply going in the village during these tumultuous times. I might even become a member this year ?

Why is no one here? Picked up my bits and pieces - chilled on 1st isle...beer on last Isle....like the Marie Celeste! Checkout tells me someone's coming cos I've got beer.....no one arrives...I leave!Just pay someone to be on a checkout! I feckin hate self scan at the best of times and when you've literally no-one on the shop floor it doesn't make sense.The very definition of lack of "customer service"...... nipped to Lidl on my way home, got my bits cheaper, and was served by an actual person! Who knew that's what shoppers want??!!!???

Decent little Coop store, with optional membership card and app for discounts. Prices seem high compared to major supermarkets.This is quite a large store, so isn?t open until late on Sundays like some some smaller Coop stores.A facelift a few years ago saw the store entrance moved to the car park side, which means either climbing up a steep flight of steps or meandering up the excruciatingly long ramped entrance. Both are less than ideal.Staff are friendly and there are plenty of self service tills, but usually only one cashier on.

It is a co-op convenience store, with all the usual range of stuff and opening hours one would expect. Conveniently located on a main road, with common items conveniently located near the tills, the only oddity is that a wheelchair Access ramp at the entry makes for a very fun switchback for kids on wheelies or skateboards (only attempt of ramp not in proper use!) - five stars.Also, queue time usually low as the staff here are usually just plentiful enough to avoid the queues.

A very clean and well run store with a good selection, including gluten free, which comes in handy for when my son & his partner visit. More choice than Tesco over the road. The staff are very helpful and there is always a friendly greeting from Nicola.
