We've been to the Sun Inn on various occasions for a drink after walking on the nearby fells but we'd never eaten there so yesterday we decided on a trip over to sample the food. So glad we did, the food was delicious, staff very attentive and a fabulous atmosphere. We brought our little whippet as they are dog friendly. We will definitely be back, thank you!

Nothing to complain about. Excellent fish and chips. Would come back anytime! I ate at the table next to the bull ring, and was also well entertained during my stay!

Great pub in the village of Chipping. Nice beer garden outside. The food choice was good. I had the pie chips and mushy peas, which was excellent.

What a lovely pub..... We had two amazing meals at this pub, the Pizzas are fantastic but make sure you book early as they have fixed amount of pizzas bases. We also had the Sunday roast, the roast beef was amazing and there was loads of it. I would definitely recomend it and would definitely go again.

Didn't have food this time, the ale was on form as was the atmosphere, clientele and welcome from both locals and visitors. Just love this place, thank you Billy to you and your amazing staff!! Love to you all.

Cracking historic pub in a nice village. Serving about 3 ales along with the usual. Has a nice vibe inside. Outside seating round the back. Loyal local crowd and welcoming to lonesome strangers. Some say it?s haunted if you appreciate these things. Has a darts board and serves food.Recommended ? ?
