I've been going here for 20 years off and on. Always late night, either after work or post drinking and clubbing.
My go to "dish" is the Chicken Tikka wrap sandwich. This is a full sized naan bread, folded like a tortilla wrap, around chunks of chicken breast meat that have been marinated and cooked in a spicy, dark red chicken tikka sauce. Available with or without salad, and with a range of sauces - including; tomato, mint, garlic, and chilli [be warned the chilli packs a punch!]. Served wrapped in a paper parcel.
The in house entertainment is provided by your fellow customers. Invariably at least one other in the queue will have been on the lash, and prepared to offer their own commentary on the world at large. No detriment to Sumbul's, the food is good and tasty, and the counter banter is a part of the ambience.
Recently I tried delivery, courtesy of Just Eat, and wasn't disappointed. Thank you Sumbul's, you have an assured - if these days irregular - customer for years to come so long as the children tikka wrap sandwich stays on the menu.
Parking: Very limited street parking outside, best to assume there will be none given that there is considerable competition from taxis and food delivery drivers. Possible parking on nearby Cow Lane or Bethesda Street.
Safe to say that the majority of Sumbul's customers will not be availing themselves of nearby parking for their own motorised conveyance since Sumbul's target demographic appear to be post-lash, night out survivors, grabbing a late night bite to eat, before heading home by taxi or drunken stumble.

Not impressed tonight with my food, chips and curry especially not the same as usual the curry tasted more like pepper. I usually enjoy my food from here but not tonight. Tonight a 4/10 sorry !

Just ordering a doner kebab with yoghurt and mint was far to spicy. A kebab should never be spicy

Me and my friend went in last night for their chicken tikka kebab, however it was absolutley disgusting and we have both been very poorly today! From both ends!!! The garlic bread with cheese was rock hard and disgusting
