Went to burnley store with my son to try on trainers, find some clothes for a holiday and a party.
He does not like shopping and does not like crowds so needed to just buy in 1 shop.
He tried on trainers and clothes and we were there a while as needed to make sure they fit as didnt want to have to come back. Just as I was walking to till to pay I heard a worker talk to another worker with head sets on and said they're still here need to charge them rent. This was not said quietly it was so I would hear.
Went to till not 1 word or eye contact or smile from this worker, spent £169 felt like dumping the stuff and walking out and very nearly said do you want my rent money too.
Very rude and all staff looked like they did not want to be there as if it was forced community service!!! Unfortunately need to return some jeans but think I'll cut my losses and sell them on vinted.

They have a very angry young woman manning the front door and apparently you cant eat in store even if thats just chewing gum or mints according to this little drill sergeant ? i had planned to spend a sizeable amount of money to buy myself a few new outfits but safe to say i wont be returning to this store anytime soon her disgraceful attitude put me right off spending a penny in that run down store?. she wont last 2 minutes in a real job with that cocky attitude it?s probably her first job since mcdonalds fired her

Awful store. Dirty and dingy
Staff are non existent, and when you do find one they are rude. The items products are expensive, you can get the items much cheaper online
This store should be shut down!

customer service is extremely poor. I bought a jacket and the stitching was torn. Two days later I went to return it but I lost the receipt. I paid with Apple Pay. The customer service girl said it can't be returned without a receipt. Then I talked to the manager because it says on their website that if you have proof, you can return it. The manager said okay, return it not very professional customer service

Ordered a pair of football boots as Xmas gift, unfortunately they were too big. Went to local store for them to be exchanged for another size but was told I need to return them and purchase them again despite the exact same item being on the shelf !!!

I bought a pair of Nike shoes for £90 for my husband. It turned out too small so I went the shop to swap it for a bigger size. I was told it was worn (the bottom seemed a bit dusty) so they won't swap it. My husband tried it on at home, on the carpet, it didn't even see the days sunlight, not even a spec of outside. Told them I bought it in that condition but still didn't want to swap. It seems someone before tried it on in the shop (where the floor never saw a mop) and put it back in the box. Luckily we were able to swap it in another shop. Burnley Sports Direct is a joke, no good customer service.

So I purchased a pair of Firetrap boots £60 at Deepdale Preston Sports Direct, put them on Friday Night , Saturday morning when going to wear them again I noticed the eyelets three of them had come away from the boot. Not happy at all ,£60 boots you don't expect this , anyway I took them back to the Burnley store first thing Sunday morning ( I didn't get back until then ) in the Box with the receipt only to be told I would only be getting a credit note because they don't give money back ,ok on certain items but on a brand new pair of Firetrap boots? . So obviously I took the credit note ,but I did say what if these boots do the same ,the answer you will get another credit note.? I've just looked on their website and it says money refund on faulty goods will be offered on certain items especially if faulty? So have they lied to me today ,looks like it , will be going in again Tomorrow. Update on Sports Direct Burnley,went in today and everything sorted by the manager, very polite young woman, money back no issues. Thanks .

Honestly average.
Becoming more expensive like everything & you have to wait a bit for staff to get the shoe number.

Seriously needs a deep clean. Absolutely vile store, honestly couldn't believe the state of the floor! Looks like the whole place has never been cleaned since opening. Had to find a member of staff twice as no one around. The one metal changing room is locked with a bike lock and you have to be let in.... Looks like a dirty metal cubicle inside with the most unclean floor I've ever seen in a shop. No way I would get changed in there.
All the staff look as miserable as anything ( I'm not surprised working in there ).
Need a serious refresh. Surprised it's been left to get that dirty with it being a big chain.

Absolute joke of a place. Selection of boots is nice however there is no one around to help you. Having to constantly walk around looking for someone because no one is working in that section. Proceed to leave due to this and there is about 5 staff members just chatting at the entrance. Queues at tills, no help anywhere. Would avoid.

Very rude staff, we buy from here regularly but last couple of times the staff have been really rude and not helpful at all
