The optometrist was very thorough and explained everything clearly.
However once I had finished my eye test and was looking for frames, not one member of staff even acknowledged or asked if I needed assistance

Got reading and distance glasses in 2023,reading glasses ok but distant glasses took back 3 times for sides becoming becoming slack
Took them back again and they found screw part missing on one side for tightening. The assistants remedy was to offer me a new pair half price!!!! Never be going there again.

Communication skills are poor, you ask them a question and they think you are questioning their skills when you are just trying to educate your self on your eye health, very rude staff, if they don?t know the answer to a question they walk off leaving you confused, they talk about patients forgetting others can hear,
Only 1 of 3 managers know how to communicate efficiently which is unfortunate,
If I could rate a 0 I would so one start it is

I had booked an eye test for a member of my family who is currently staying with me as in the process of moving to France. We are deeply upset with the disgusting treatment. On arrival he was asked for his GP details, he is not currently registered with a GP. He was threatened with a £120 fine. He was then told that in Burnley there are a lot of Pakistans who try to bring there families from overseas for free test (that is very Ra ist), my cousin has a national insurance number, has worked all his life as a Police Inspector. He was put into the bracket of being here illegally, we didn't catch the name of the lady who served him, but she was very rude and needs some training in customer service.
I myself have always used Specsavers. But never again

After being badgered, constantly over the past 12 months I finally went for my eye test ! I was informed that my eyes have changed slightly so I might aswell get some new glasses! So the deal is 2 for 1 , so I decided to go for the £90 deal ! When I received the bill I was informed it would be £115 ????! After asking the reason for the extra £25 ? I was informed it was for the eye test !! This is the reason for my review!! Never once in all the texts and phone calls asking me to come for an eye test have I been informed it cost £25 !! Then I informed the sales assistant I wanted to just buy one pair of glasses, she informed me ? well it?s the same price for 1 pair £90 ? So either way I?ve been tricked into purchasing a eye test and the offer is not a 2 for 1 offer !!! Then to top it all off , you have to pay upfront for them !! SO if there?s anything wrong with the glasses ? when you pick them up 2 weeks later , you have no power to negotiate!!! I feel totally let down by this ? Sales organisation ? not an eye specialist at alll ! What a Spectacular failure !!!

Went for a post op cataract check up. Was given an eye test. I told them my eye was still sore and didn't think I should have the pressure test. Told it would be ok. My eye is now even more sore. Went elsewhere and had a proper post op test and had my eye dilated and there is something wrong at the back of my eye. Went Thursday for my second cataract on the other eye. Mentioned what had happened and they have confirmed there is something at the back of my eye. Been referred to a different opticians for my second post op. Been going to Specsavers for years but not anymore.

I visited Specsavers yesterday with my daughter. The lady who checked her eyes was very nice and helpful she said my daughter has myopia and would be helpful if she had special lenses which are more expensive than others. After an eye check, we went to speak with some guy who should help us choose glasses and get more info about those expensive lenses well I definitely did not find him helpful! I wanted to ask some questions and get some advice but he was like?its260£ for special lenses what do you want to do ? I wanted to have some time to think but I felt pressured he did not answer any of my questions and ask me three times ?what you want to do?. I decided to go with normal ones and leave as soon as possible! Next time I will choose a different optician!
