For a dvd 3 weeks ago ,never recieved it,
Never got a refund ,no response to e mail ,buyers beware,they pay virtually nothing for these dvds,and charge extortionate prices !!

Very decent CeX. Shopped here a fair bit past few years. Stock doesn't change as often as other CeX shops but it's a small shop in a smaller town so makes sense. Staff members are more consistent than larger stores; same few faces year after year. Any issue I've ever had they've helped with and been very professional. Great store.

The entrance to the store is adapted for disabled people. Provides all the necessary information about the products. Friendly staff. If necessary, recommends which product is better to choose.

I bought a switch oled. After 3 weeks of having it for some reason it started randomly switching itself off. I took it back with the receipt. They tested it for 2 hours and couldn't find a fault. I did explain it was doing it randomly. Instead of giving me a refund they offered to buy it back off me at half the price I paid for it. I had no choice but to do this as I knew it was faulty and didn't want to keep it. Never using CeX again after years of being a loyal customer.

Good selection of games and gadgets

Shysters. Just beware if you go in to sell anything. Unbeknownst to me, my girlfriend went in some time ago, and decided to hawk a Wii, Wii-Fit board, tons of games, multiple controllers, amongst other wares. They offered her a pitiful £16 for the entire lot! When she refused, they pressured her into letting them go because they'd, "Already scanned it through". Bullies and thieves. They clearly ripped her off and pocketed whatever money they were supposed to give her. Had I known and been present at the time, it wouldn't have happened. Clearly they saw she was vulnerable, and like a bunch of jackals, went in for the kill. So beware of their buying practices.
Updated review: they issued a voucher of £25.20 on Monday, and it doesn't work.

Rude staff. Always open late. They are too lazy to open at 8 like every other shop. BTW don't even leave stuff there to get "tested" they deliberately break your stuff and say they can't sell it cos it's broken. They broke my ps2 and my ds

Had to score 1 star as can't score zero. Bought a gift for my son's birthday a couple of months ago (kozmo robot) however upon my son opening it on Wednesday and trying to get it going we found that It wouldn't do anything. After looking online we found out that the company/manufacturer has now gone bust.
This means we have effectively overpaid for a paperweight. Nothing was said to me at the time of purchase that I was buying an ornament and now I have a heartbroken 11 year old.
We have raised this to CEX and they have said they will "buy it back off us, at a reduced rate" once they have "tested it" you can't test it because it doesn't work.
Very unhappy with this experience and I urge people to steer clear.

This is my goto for pc peripherals and today was no exception.
The staff were approachable, friendly and very knowledgeable.
Some people complain saying CEX is a rip off but I am happy to pay slightly over what other retailers charge. That little price increase is worth it for the favourable aftercare for problems or other issues.
