I had a lovely dining room dresser which came in two pieces. I arranged for British heart foundation to collect it has I was replacing it for a smaller one. Two fellas turned up,not very polite, put mud over my carpet and patio door curtains and told me that they couldn?t take it as it was broken!!!!!! After closer examination once they had left I realised that they had tried to lift the unit by the top of the bottom bit , with the weight of the glass bit on top, which was a very heavy unit.As a result this caused the pegs to come out causing a loose top. We had to fix this as well. I complained to bhf but have heard nothing back.I wouldn?t offer my furniture to them again.

Refused to take a solid oak coffee Table that's in fantastic condition, because it was apparently to heavy for the 2 collection drivers to carry even though I can lift it by myself, even offered to help load it the van for them and they still said no and got in there van and left absolutely appalling customer services, will donate elsewhere from now on, this review is for the collection drivers not the shop

We needed a new single bed for one of our children. The store is large enough that they had several, and one was very suitable, and at a very reasonable price. The staff were also very helpful with loading the car, etc. I would definitely visit again.

Wanted to buy a sofa today. The lady who I spoke to was lovely. However, the delivery driver was sooooo rude. He said it was too big for 2 flights of stairs. Didn?t get chance to tell him they are very wide stairs! I have a super king bed in there! He was horrible to the lady staff member. Maybe he was having a bad day, but from the sounds of other reviews I think not. He then backtracked and said he wouldn?t take responsibility for any damage. I already have bigger pieces of furniture in there, without a problem. Wonder how people go on who want to buy a wardrobe or big bed for their upstairs bedroom?? The manager said they didn?t have another delivery driver, so I told them I didn?t want it as I didn?t want him near me or my property. A shame for the charity.

Impressed! Such a good range of furniture, both new and used with prices to suit all budgets.Fantastic staff and volunteers, would recommend a visit if you need to furnish your home.

Tried to donate an expensive bedframe and they wouldn't take it because the inside (ottoman bed) had a tiny rip in the material. It didn't affect the use at all and you couldn't even see it unless you physically got inside the bed. Instead we had to throw a perfectly good bed on the tip. Waste of space and extremely rude collection staff. Will go elsewhere in future with donations. I work for two charities myself and have never witnessed such appalling customer service. Disgrace to the charity sector.

Waited in all morning for furniture collection. Shop just rang and said driver could not get an answer. I said I've not had a call. She said either I'm lying or the driver lying!!!! Really???? How very rude and very unprofessional especially from a charity shop!! I will now donate to Barbados.

Absolute waste of time. Staff very unhelpful, manager is rude and no customer care skills, shocking is an understatement... misinformed regards to a booked collection, items overpriced. To say its a charity shop and supposed to research.... avoid at all costs. And for anyone who has booked a furniture collection... the drivers will refuse at any time to take your items without informing you first.

Totally useless! I gave very specific details to the shop as to where we were located which were not telayed to the driver . Got a call the night before telling me they would pick up at 7am!! Got everything ready . Saw I had 2 missed calls and I rang 5 minutes later and the driver wouldn't answer! They said they couldn't find me yet they said they had driven past my cafe which is where I told the shop that was where I was. Complained to head office who contacted shop and they lied to them saying collection was monday when I have email here confirming collection is today ie Tuesday
