A well-equipped hospital for both health emergencies and routine care. I gave birth here and received highly professional care from the expert staff and doctors. The meals are prepared with patients? digestion and nutrition in mind. While the portions aren?t very filling, they do provide quick energy for a few hours.
One companion is allowed to stay with you, but there is no proper sleeping arrangement for them, the bed is reserved for the patient, and the companion must sit on a chair. Parking is paid and operates on a display system, with rates varying depending on the length of stay.
Overall, if you are unsure where to go for a check-up or treatment, Burnley Hospital should be your first choice in this area.

Recieved a phone call saying I've got an appointment at the Eye Clinic i took time off work and paid for a taxi when I arrived I was told my appointment had been cancelled as it was a mistake made by a trainee how ridiculous did they not think to let the patient know the appointment had been cancelled

Parking is a nightmare and the signage is awful. Every time I go up there isn't a single parking space available and neighbouring streets are resident permits only. Good luck finding out where to go too.

I had an afternoon appointment for a Gastroscopy and a colonoscopy. I waited a matter of minutes before l was called and l can?t complain about anything. Lovely staff, efficient and so pleasant. I couldn?t have had better treatment anywhere. Even the results were good - thank fully.

I was found to have ovarian cancer in January and instead of just doing an operation to remove it. They have messed about having to have a biopsy to see what typevof cancer it was. I was feeling fairly fit till that biopsy that didn't even show what cancer it is. Now after that biopsy I have blood clots and feel really ill. Now because of the consultants there it's to late. Inside on going to the christies hospital as Burnley are total rubbish with cancer treatment

The doctor had no idea what to do, was googling for what to do with post infection rabies vaccination. Went away, came back with a man nurse who looked nervous and told me they dont do vaccinations at the hospital.
A day later i go to calderdale hospital with the same problem, they get me the correct vaccine and tell me i should have come days earlier as its quite dangerous to delay it.
All and all Burnley hospital wasted a day from my life, potentially putting me in mortal danger due to delayed treatment. I wish i knew the name of the doctor ? i felt like what happened over there was negligence that should be reported somewhere

Bleak environment, dreadful mismanagement of patient care. Total inability to manage discharge of elderly patients resulting in a disgraceful waste of NHS resources. Automated response when you try to return missed calls (almost no one leaves a message and they certainly never leave a number you can then get them on). Message telling you we can't determine who called you but not to worry they will phone again-they don't. Awful lack of any joined up services between health and social care.

Overall a dismal place, especially at weekends.
