Drunk here for 30 years, visited last week, total dump, 2 people in for Man City game, had 1 drink and left, Wetherspoons next door was full ! What's happened? Worst review I've ever written which I don't like doing !

Visited Yates for breakfast after doing the clubland weekend, was really busy only just found a table. Could see that they were understaffed as we waited over an hour for our breakfast, when it did arrive it was cold and my bread for my sandwich was stale. Me and my partner couldn't understand why so little staff where in and such a busy weeoin Blackpool with the fireworks and clubland weekend on. I did feel sorry for the staff, better rota planning would of helped the situation, and would of been nice to be told it was an hour wait before ordering food

There was some sort of issue that meant the ground floor bar wasn't open. This was explained by a helpful and friendly member of staff, no problem we opted to stay downstairs. The ladies' toilets upstairs were bad, I checked out 3 cubicles before finding one to use. I don't think they flush properly, so they weren't 'ready for use'. It's not like it was busy, with a maximum of 8 customers early on a Monday evening.
I had a chicken burger, which was OK. My husband had a beef burger, consisting of 2 patties with a maximum thickness of 5mm. They were supposed to come with iceberg lettuce, pickle, and onions. This took up no more than 2 square inches of the bun surface, and I couldn't taste any onion.
I should think they could serve 40 people with 1 iceberg lettuce and 5 pickles. In fact, they deserve a mention in the bible.

Wouldn't waste yoir money buying food here. Portions are awful food is awful and staff don't care. Lasagne was a bowl of slop.

Hi , we didn't have food just a couple of drinks. ( Friday 13th Sept around 430pm)
First I would like to compliment the guy on the bar ( long beard) , he wad old school as he served people in order despite the bar being busy. He was courteous and efficient.
Secondly I would like to ask why Yates have 2 pricing structures, 1 for tourists and 1 for locals? I overheard 2 ladies behind the bar discussing how they had taken a card payment off a customer and ' didn't realise they were locals 'and were trying to work out how to refund the difference. Seems a bit of sharp practice to operate 2 structures for pricing.
