Stayed at The Bond Hotel recently with a gentleman who I care for . The reception area definitely needs an update and also the lounge area to the left of the reception. When we first walked in we was 50/50 about staying as the first impression wasn't the best . We waited in the lounge area for our room to be ready ( arrived at 15.30 ) , on looking around the carpet and sofa is needing a deep clean and the tables replaced . We got our room keys around 16.15 , and was told evening meals were served from 17.30 until 19.00 , but if we wanted the best food the best time to get downstairs was when it first opened . The meals were adequate, always hot and self service from buffet type trolley . Our room was 2 single beds with a tracking hoist, the room was not the biggest especially when trying to maneuver a wheelchair in the room . The bedding needs an freshen up the duvet covers and pillow cases were badly faded which is off putting . The mattresses are not of good quality especially with persons with additional needs , they are brick hard . The gentleman who I was supporting was struggling in the bed due to it being so uncomfortable. All in all if the hotel got a revamp , carpets , beds , mattresses and bedding . Also sofa in lounge area, and the reception area to be a bit more inviting . If this change happened the hotel would actually be lovely. There was 2 separate guests when staying 1 complaining that their mattress had stains on it , and the 2nd refusing to be in her room due to the low cleanliness of it . Hearing this as a staying guest was a worry , normally when I leave anywhere I stay I strip all bedding but in this case I left the bedding as I was bit worried of what i may had found .

The hotel room was full of flies bedding hadn?t been changed and the wet room hadn?t been mopped. The hotel is not wheelchair friendly and it didn?t help that we were booked in a room at the far end of the other corner of the hotel. Towels were not changed in the morning and batteries for the hoist kept running out and we were constantly running back to the reception only to be given another battery without enough power. In terms of food there is no variety especially in terms of meat there is no choice at all. I wouldn?t recommend this hotel to anyone neither will I ever set foot there again. The experience at Bond hotel was horrible.

I work as a self employed Tour Manager/Guide and every time I've stayed at the Bond Hotel with my group of guests and carers I have been so impressed. The hotel is in a great position near South Pier, Sandcastle Water Park and the Pleasure Beach. The hotel has amazing facilities for disabled guests, the best in the UK but what makes this hotel is the wonderful caring staff who go out of their way to ensure guests have a wonderful time. The food is plentiful and good and the buffet style suits the guests perfectly, with staff assisting guests and carrying plates, etc if necessary. Reception, bar and housekeeping staff are brilliant! Special mention must go to Nicole, the entertainment host who is amazing and shows a great empathy to the disabled guests, involving them and ensuring they have a wonderful time. Seeing people have such a good time, despite their disabilities is heartwarming. The variety of evening entertainment is brilliant, and it is a supportive environment for everyone to express themselves. I love working there on Tour and can highly recommend the Bond Hotel

We are so happy to have stumbled across the Bond, which has now become a go-to destination for my brother-in-law who has cerebral palsy. We are yet to find a hotel quite like it. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotel itself looks like it has just had a bit of refurb. We've also been struck by the community atmosphere in the hotel. The only suggestion I could possibly make is that the food generally could be better; however, in saying that, the deserts are pretty good. Parking, particularly with a van can be a challenge, but the staff will be on hand to help. We're already looking forward to our next visit to the Bond!

The first question you have to ask is, do you know what this hotel and its staff actually do? If not look it up before you book. The place is wonderful and the staff will literally do anything to support its guests. Whether you are a carer or one of the people being cared for you are clearly and openly at the forefront of their minds. I travelled with my mum who has to use a wheelchair and my dad who is getting less steady on his feet. We parked outside (right outside) and I got a permit so the car could stay there. Reception were wonderful especially when I gave the wrong name for the booking. We were taken to our room as though it was the norm; it probably was but it I wasn't to know. We had a designated table for all our meals with space for mum's wheelchair. The meals were great and never ran out (though we were warned not to leave it too late). Many people mixed their mains (gammon and vegetable curry) but hey you are on holiday. Some less able guests have table service again all part of the service. Evening entertainment led by the wonderful Nicole was interactive and everyone was relaxed. Big plus was the barman asking me "same again" on only my second visit to the bar. Like being welcomed like an old friend. Speaking of which mum and dad had been before and at the entertainment mum was greeted and serenaded by Nicole who asked after my sister who would arrive later in the week. I had read some comments about the state of the rooms. True our room had the odd bump and scrape but hey this is a hotel that caters for a lot of people in wheelchairs and I have first hand knowledge of how tricky they can be to manoeuvre from time to time. If you are someone who is looking for somewhere for your loved ones to go where they have particular requirements I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. You won't regret it, I know I don't.

I arrived at this store at 22:50, while they announced that they are open until 23:30, but they were closed. This shows that you have no respect for your customers

All the poor reviews aren't recent and nothing in them is a reflection of the hotel we visited. It's a tad shabby but with wheelchairs and walkers it's hard to keep a place immaculate. Most important it's clean, rooms well stocked with tea, coffee etc. Had all the equipment we needed and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of room for wheelchair manoeuvres. Meals were good quality and staff happy to find fussy eaters alternatives to the menu choices. Entertainment was top quality and though we were a small audience we weren't short changed. Definitely going again.
