Very cheap room, very very bland decor and basic. However, the staff were very accommodating and polite and the location is very good. Staff get full points. The rooms need some character desperately, never seen so much beige/off white in my life. Id happily pay more for a room, if other costs where lowered, cup of tea was £2.50 (nah), two pints and two shots of whisky was over £20 (£23 I think) also the bed was on wheels, which made sex more of a challenge than it should be, as it moved all over the room with every oscillation ?

Basic.Rooms: Bathroom door can not open fully and gets jammed against the sink. The floor behind the door is a horrible brown colour, when it should be blue. Toilet roll holder broken. Beds are uncomfortable and pillows are too full/high.Food & drinks: Very basic, and a bit like a school canteen. Plates are cold and food is tepid.

There was probably a time when the Norbreck Castle Hotel was first rate and a Blackpool institution. That time has quite clearly passed. It is a tired hotel, with tired staff and a tired approach to customer service. 20 minutes to check in (No ID? No check in!), rooms that could do with some serious updating TLC (my toilet wasn't bolted to the floor and the TV remote was held together with gaffer tape and the volume button was stuck), dinner that stopped service at 7pm (guests are expected to rely on takeaway services), £20 deposit for pool cues ("We've had issues in the past".), intoxicated individuals passed out in the bar and lobby (it was only 7:30pm), more security for the bingo and cabaret than at a Taylor Swift concert and to top it all, being woken at 5am by a seagull trying to smash open my bedroom window to get to my takeaway pizza which I had to order because the hotel stopped serving food at 7pm!?!? Yes the staff are friendly and the location right opposite the beach is fine, but if there is an alternative, take it.

walls to thin can hear the couple next to me at the other room having sex and the walls are too thin and the rooms are meant to be double rooms and the only thing stopping the doors are a cabinet at the buffet its far too small for the amount of people there is and people cut in line and cut into you the service is not nice ignored by several staff and no queue system at the bar and you have to push in to get served, the information sheet has the wrong times for events youd think for how much money this place makes they?d at least renovate the place but everything is too outdated they can easily make this place better just dont try hard enough the hotel reeks of weed the door for the disbaled entrance doesn?t operate this place isnt a must to go not fit place for family or kids would be the last choice, there is absolutely no entertainment for the kids the closest option on site is swimming which they let far too many people into serval lockers don?t have locks so i felt very scared leaving my stuff unattended.

Large hotel with large capacity function room (800 plus seated alongside larger dance floor). Tired and dated, but a cheap bar.

The room was nice and clean, very compact and very warm, and there was no heating control. Service is excellent staff are very nice. This is a good value hotel and very busy. The food in the restaurant is buffet but very good and tasty with three or 4 choices for Mains. It's a fair bit outside Blackpool, but the tram stops outside the door. It's as quiet or busy as " you" want it to be. Would I go back?Yes, if you're on a budget, it's tremendous value for money.

My Dad had booked this hotel for a city break last year but he unexpectedly passed away. My brother & I tried several times to cancel by phoning and sending emails. We constantly got cut off when we both phoned and got no reply to emails. My brother eventually got an email the day after my Dad was supposed to check out saying 'It's a non refundable deposit'. Unfortunately my Dad was not insured so my brother & I have had to cover all expenses for his funeral. I would urge anyone NOT to stay here. They keep money that does not belong to them which is stealing!!!
