To get the best from Currys you need to shop online.I went in for a microwave but they had very few choices. I saw a few good ones online but when I went to the store I was extremely disappointed. Shop online and you should be able to get what you want.

Wanted a cheap washing machine for my Mother in Law who's got dementia. We wanted something basic and easy to use for her because of her condition. Saw one £229.00 great stuff, spoke to the sales assistant, said we wanted that model and my mother in law had dementia so we don't need anything else. Got to paying for it, she said, would you like a washing machine pack that we are currently selling? no thanks. Do you want breakdown, no thanks. We did ask for delivery and removal of old machine and set up of the new one.... wait for it.... an extra £90 in total. The price you see is definitely not the price you pay. First and last time.

The young lady who served me was excellent BUT the product wasn't in stock so it had to be ordered. When I asked when will it be there so I could collect it I was told it had to be delivered I couldn't collect it! They then slapped on a £10 delivery charge. (When this was first discussed it was £6 and it would be an afternoon delivery). I've only purchased two small speakers for goodness sake! When I got the text about delivery time it only confirms delivery day. I'm NOT impressed with Currys and it will be a long time before I darken their doors again!

Great store with a large range on display. Click and collect is recommended as they don't hold a lot of stock if you want to buy something there and then. But good inventory of tech and appliances ??

Wow, where do I start? I have never in my 41 years on this planet received anywhere near this poor a customer service. Here's what happened:9th Dec: ordered coffee machine online with gift vouchers10th Dec: Order cancelled by store with no reason. Visited store who (after 30 minute wait) said gift cards would be reimbursed within 24 hours11th Dec: Initiated complaint (case number 01378531) over phone after telling me it?d actually be 3-5 days. Told to wait up to 48 hours for somebody to call13th Dec: No call so escalated complaint with call person who was very unhelpful. Told to wait another 24 hours.14th Dec: Called again but lost connection. Spoke on live chat to agent who apologised profusely and said someone would be in touch soon.15th Dec: Still no call so called Citizens Advice who advised me to write a letter citing the fact that Currys are in breach of contract and breaking common law. Posted that day.16th Dec: Visited manager at Blackpool store to see if he could do anything. He emailed the gift card team with all the info. Said he?d contact me if they contacted him but no answer again.17th Dec: Email from J at customer services said he?d tried to contact me but number was wrong. I replied with correct number and he called me shortly after, apologising saying that a senior manager would call me Mon/Tues to resolve the issue and also compensate me in some way.19th Dec: Tried live chat again but similar to 14th Dec.20th Dec: Tried live chat 3 times: 1st time chat was ended when I politely asked to speak to a manager as promised, 2nd time I was promised someone would call that evening between 6-9. No call so now on 3rd chat who promised me somebody would call saying "Please stay positive and leave all your worries here". (Currys we know this is a pre-written piece of meaningless garbage!)The vouchers have finally been refunded after 12 days but the product is no longer in stock so I'm stuck with £350 Currys vouchers which I have no intention of using. This has taken up about 8 hours of my time over the past 2 weeks at a very busy period for everybody. "Shocking" doesn't even begin to describe it. I will NEVER EVER shop with Currys again and will tell as many people as possible about this dreadful experience. You should be ashamed.

Their collection service is truly awful...so you click on "im at the store" you then are informed to go to collection point desk, only to queue, and then be told you need to go and stand behind some sign at the front door, and wait again for someone to bring your item out, i stood for over 10 mins...hardly " your item is READY to collect... not impressed tbh

Poor experience today. Wanted a pink Smeg kettle. Waited in line with empty box for cashier but item not in stock, couldn't even purchase display one. I needed one there and then but request not fulfilled. Ended up at Dunelm. Currys lost a £135 sale today

Staff at Blackpool shop working in TV sales totally disinterested in providing information. Should take a lesson from Preston shop staff who are keen to help and answer questiona. This is a criticism of staff on TV sales duties not on other staff who have been helpful and informative.

On Tuesday 19th of December I went to the Squires Gate store to collect and pay for a TV I?d reserved online the previous night and on entering the store headed to the televisions section and waited for one of the sales staff to attend to me, this proved very fruitless as there was a number of staff wandering about aimlessly or stood chatting to each other but not one offered to assist me. On two occasions I approached a member of staff but on each occasion they walked away when they saw me approaching, three other members walk passed me without acknowledging me as they were too busy playing or talking on their phones, one other member of staff just nodded at me and mumbled ?alrite mate? and continued walking past me. I finally managed to complete my purchase at the services desk and the assistant said he would get my television and would be a couple of minutes, 15 minutes later I was still waiting and when I pointed this out to two other staff members they said they would go and look for him, another ten minutes later I finally left the store with my television but very dissatisfied with my experience. When I mentioned this to my workmates the following morning two of them claimed to have had the same issues with this store and had left without making a purchase deciding instead to get their items elsewhere. This is obviously an ongoing problem with the store as the staff show no interest in working for their wage and bringing money into the company, very rude and unwelcoming staff ! It will be a long time, if ever, before I visit this store again.

Ordered through click and collect. Using the app, when I arrived, stated I was 2nd in the que. Had to wait at least 15 mins for someone to bring the item out. Great concept, but wait time longer than expected considering it was quiet.

I have just been in to buy a printer a young lady tried to help me as much as possible.she then asked a supervisor for help.He plainly could not be bothered and passed me over to one of his colleagues who had less time for me than the supervisor. I would highly recommend you do not use the shop the staff blatantly are annoyed by customers

My BEKO washer dryer melted 2 pyjama elastic waisbands & all smelt of burning on synthetic mode dry.An engineer came from Beko & agreed it was too hot on dryer. The m/c stopped spinning after another couple of weeks- an engineer saw straight away that the belt had perished ( probably due to the heat ) & so it was replaced he also replaced the circuit boards.I was still aware that the heat was too high on synthetic dry.An independent engineer was sent who had been given the wrong parts but re ordered the parts - he seemed confused as if I'd complained that the dryer had no heat & showed me that it was working - he said "Ouch, that's definitely hot enough "! Ugh! The dryer was still burning hot on all options. The same engineer came back to re replace circuit boards & the m/c is still too hot to dry in.It also doesn't spin as it should so, on a 1200 spin, the washing is still very wet & has to be re spun - still not acceptably spun.I've spent hours on the phone trying to get through to the retailer but I always get put through to Beko. When the first problems arose I drove to Currys but they sent me away to wait for an engineer to "write off" the machine.Rubbish response & no accountability by this retailer - this m/c is 6 months old now & after 4 repairs in this time I have NO confidence in Currys or Beko
