Excellent customer service very friendly people I loved going to this costa

Always visit costa wherever we are in the country but on this visit although as normal the drinks were spot on the same cannot be said for Steve who served my wife his customer skills were non existent and damm rude to my wife.
Whilst trying to pay he said couldn't accept that
(£20 note) as we found out when he blurted out in a manner that wasnt acceptable to the customers waiting to be served CARD ONLY or Exact Money only.
He then turned to a female member of staff and growled at her " I told you to get more change for the till".
All of this in front of customer's does not I reckon comply with
Costa policies.
This experience although negative is not representative of Costa overall.
Steve definitely needs a refresher in customer service

First they missed my drink off my order, then they gave it to someone else who didn't order it and then had to throw it away (because the person drank some of it), then eventually remade it, and it wasn't remotely full. I thought the other Costa in Blackpool was bad, but this is worse. Seriously, I have been to countless Costas around the country, this was terrible.

Probably the slowest serving Costa I've ever been in. One server and 4 "baristas" (the quotes indicating their level of skill, I think chimps would have been quicker) and there was still a queue out of the door and a massive knot of people waiting for drinks. Average of 4 minutes per customer. Absolute joke for a coffee shop.

Went here this morning had a Flat white, a cappuccino, a Terry's chocolate orange muffin and a teacake. Was served by a rather rude Gemma. Food was ok mind you can't really get that wrong. Coffee was ok not the greatest though. The worst costa coffee's I've been in. Tables dirty staff don't really give a S###. Certainly wouldn't recommend coming here.

Not great. Clearly, there were no cleaners on this morning (20th Oct) as the toilets were disgraceful. Service was really slow despite there being 5 folk behind the bar - anyone fancy doing a bitnof cleaning? Can't see the manager that was there on Friday who happily said in front of his new staff member (who started that day) that she was getting thrown in the deep end. I happily said in 16 years of hospitality management I never felt I had to throw anyone in the deep end. What's with the empty displays and lack of cakes etc? Pooly ran for a city centre coffee shop. Cafe Nero round the corner was much nicer both for staff and comfort.

Drinks are fine but today (Sunday 13th October) I decided to sit down and have a drink. Big mistake. Where I sat, there were 2 slugs present and slug trails all against the wall by the window. Hate to see what there kitchen is like. Off putting for a company of it's stature.

Just called in for my usual coffee this morning. Conny the barista made me a fantastic skinny flat white. Hot, creamy and and full of flavour. Staff exceptional.

Standards have dropped here I think. Not given any napkins or a sauce for my coffee cup. 3 attempts to scan a gift card. Lots of used and dirty trays , plates, coffee cups ect left on tables. One plus was my roast hog sandwich was nice

amazing hot chocolate tasted like a dream, amazing staff, very welcoming, prices are great. definitely coming again.
