I have been a member of your establishment for approximately three years, and I am writing to inform you that I have officially chosen not to renew my membership as of today.
While I must commend the facility for consistently being maintained in a spotless condition, and the cleaning staff for their friendly demeanour, my overall experience has been rather disappointing. Unfortunately, I do not frequent the venue as often as I might wish, but even during my visits, I have encountered a mixture of staff attitudes. Some employees are notably unfriendly and appear indifferent to the customers, whereas others have been genuinely courteous and attentive.
Regrettably, I have not felt valued as a customer throughout my membership tenure. Instead, I have often felt perceived merely as a source of revenue. This sentiment was further reinforced on one occasion when I arrived 29 minutes past the scheduled time, and upon raising a complaint about entry times?which allow access 30 minutes prior?I was met with a dismissive response. I was told the CCTV would be reviewed, even though I was only 30 seconds off, displaying a remarkable lack of common sense and empathy.
Moreover, when I requested a refund for three months of my membership due to dissatisfaction with the service, my appeal was rudely rejected. I was effectively told to ?get stuffed? in a rather polite guise, which was most unprofessional. I am now out of contract and thus able to leave without penalty, which I have done.
On my very last day of membership, I was even initially refused entry. Fortunately, after a thorough computer search by the staff, I was eventually allowed access. This experience, again, reflects poorly on the management and customer relations practices.
In conclusion, despite the cleanliness of the premises and the friendliness of the cleaning personnel, the overall customer care and respect have been lacking. This is the primary cause for my decision not to renew, as it is clear the establishment prioritises profit over customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Nice clean gym area with plenty of equipment. Unfortunately it does get busy in the Summer as people on holiday in Blackpool who are members at other areas use it too. The pool, sauna and steam room are all great and the changing room are always clean. Many classes available at various times of the day and week.

It's poor. I really am surprised it's still going, i can't imagine it's profitable. I can't recommend bannatynes. It's gone downhill.

Paying good money for a membership and have stopped going. The place is becoming filthy (actually going home with dirt marks on hands/clothes from disgusting equipment). Gone downhill massively but still charge a fortune for membership. The staff I?ve seen in the gym are more bothered about socialising than working and there?s always someone in the steam room spitting their lungs out on the floor. Really gone off the place.

Absolutely shocking. When you think of a spa day you don?t think a public swimming pool with no where to sit. Unable to bring anything into the pool area. No seats or relaxation rooms it was a loud radio station, kids shouting in the pool and just in general very unclean. The actual treatment itself was awful. I had a facial and the poor lady who was doing my facial had a cold. I had 30 minutes of coughing and sniffing in my ear. She really shouldn?t have been working. She left the room a few times for multiple minutes to cough just outside the door. I was put in the room with another lady who i did know but we were unaware we would be sharing a room due to having to undress for our treatments. There was a lot of cupboard slamming talking and just in general a lot of noise not relaxing at all. I really do not recommend this place.

Went for a couples treatment. Had back, scalp massage and facial. The team were lovely and environment was nice too

Just had full body lava shell massage with Georgianna it was so relaxing, Georgianna was so easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. She explained what she would be doing and made sure I was relaxed throughout asking me if pressure touch was ok and to let her know if I was in any pain or if the shells were too hot. I would highly recommend this, will definitely be going back again and will be trying other treatments

Not a spa day ? totally misleading and disappointing
We booked what was sold as a relaxing spa day at Bannatyne Blackpool, and it was nothing of the sort. From the start, we were met with an unwelcoming atmosphere, poor customer service, and a run-down environment.
Only XL slippers were available (despite us receiving multiple emails about robe/slipper hire), and no effort was made to check sizing beforehand. Lunch was limited and unprofessional ? my order was wrong, and staff even admitted food hadn?t been properly prepared. Coffee was served without milk or sugar, and we had to go and find sachets ourselves.
The so-called ?spa? facilities were just a gym pool, sauna, and Jacuzzi visible from the café. No privacy, no luxury, and nowhere to relax ? only two loungers and a pool full of regular gym users. It was so underwhelming we left before our treatments even began.
When we complained, we were told they ?don?t advertise as a spa? ? despite spa being in the name and all over the booking platform. We contacted the company directly and they outright refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing or offer any compensation for our troubles. No refund was offered, even though the experience didn?t remotely match what was promised.
This was a Christmas gift and meant to be special. We left feeling totally let down. Avoid this location if you?re expecting anything close to a proper spa day.
