I visited this branch specifically due to my tight schedule, with the intention of registering my power of attorney. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The staff member I spoke with seemed unfamiliar with the process and repeatedly referred to it as 'power of eternity' instead of 'power of attorney'. She informed me that I would need to make an appointment and suggested I go to a branch closer to my home.
However, prior to this i had already checked online whereby it does not mention the need for an appointment then when I called the branch closer to my home, they informed me I could come in at any time without the need for an appointment. I feel my time was wasted and that I was not properly assisted. It seems as though I was simply fobbed off, as the staff member appeared unwilling or unable to help me in a timely manner.

Absolutely poor service. I went in as my teenage daughter wanted an account. Told the guy at the counter what she needed it for and as I said she has an account at Natwest but needed another, he said you're better off going next door to the Natwest. Very poor attitude and very poor customer service.

Really lovely staff at this branch! Always really nice to my children who take their savings books in to be updated. Branch is always clean and tidy and there is never a long wait time. Will never move from Nationwide!

After being with Nationwide for 30 very happy years I am now considering moving as their interest rates and not competitive enough.Otherwise all the staff have provided a first class service warm friendly courtesious professional.

Spoke to Vikki on the phone she was incredibly helpful. Ended up passing by the branch with further questions and spoke to her and colleague Freeda (?) who appeared to be training but was also great help.

What opportunity have people who work later than 3pm got of going into branch? Accrington closes at 2pm. Weekends branches are closed.

Got treated bad yesterday, went to drop off some pound coin on Thursday required amount 5bags of 1 pound coins , I asked the assistant can I bring in more then the required amount; she said yes , I replied I have loads (5000) she said bring in£1000 at a time, so next day I went with £700 coins, well this assistances wasn?t as helpful, first she said what have you come to do; I replied drop off £700 coins; You?re not allowed that much , after being talked down to; I was allowed in the bank to drop of the required amount; once at the Counter I said yesterday I was told I could deposit £700+ ; now I was made out I was lying; no body would have said that ; still staying calm I said check yesterday transaction; first assistant said we can?t but the second assistant did , and the assistant was in another room so once they rang her ; she came down and said their was no problem dropping off so many coins ; so now I don?t know if to drop off more coins after yesterday hassle

Admittedly I don't visit the branch frequently, however, I'm very annoyed that I didn't receive any advance warning of it being closed for refurbishment, particularly with it being closed for at least two months. My bank accounts are based at this branch, so an alert, say via the app, my email address etc. Would have been appreciated.
