I would never order carpet with carpet right again, it has been nothing but a disaster.1) I ordered carpet for 3 rooms and stairs/landing on the 25th June 2023, I was informed that the carpet was in stock and would be fit within 2/3 weeks.For the first few months I did not receive any updates and had to call to find out what was occurring, to be informed that the carpet I had chosen was out of stock and no delivery date available.2)11th september (nearly 3 months later) the carpet was fit. The carpet fitters attended and started to fit a different cheaper underlay which wasn?t agreed. Unfortunately this was only noticed once the fitters had already completed a bedroom and we were informed that they couldn?t change this underlay now, because it would damage the new carpet if pulled up.From making further phone calls to carpet right the fitters then used the correct underlay (as agreed) with the other rooms. But I?m still stuck with one room with cheaper/poorer underlay which wasn?t agreed.3) The carpet which was fit in the front room had a significant fault which was more than obvious to the human eye as this was in the centre of the front room. The carpet appeared to have a design fault and was damaged/plucked when fit. The fitters clearer attempted to hide this by placing an off piece of carpet over this prior to leaving.4) carpet right agreed to resolve the problem and arranged for fitters to re-attend to fit new carpet in the front room. I received an email stating they would attend on a given date. I removed everything from the front room and arranged for someone to be present at home during this time, around dinner time I contacted carpet write for a ETA for the fitters to be informed that no fitters would be attending as the carpet was back out of stock and that the email I received was a generic email which should not have been sent. Carpet right could not give me a time when the carpet would be back in stock and informed me that they would contact me, which they did a few weeks later and the problem was resolved.Overall I have had a bad experience with Capet right and the service I have received is disappointing and well below poor. I will be writing to make a formal complaint and I wish that no other person receives this sort of service.

Fantastic service from carpetright, this is my third visit having had the living room dining room and hallway sorted by expert fitters, Sales staff are simply excellent and very helpfull, Will be back to get the bedroom done once I can get round to the decorating. Thank you so much carpetright

My mum had the most appalling after sales service from this store, following botched fitting by a recommend laminate floor fitter, ?Austin?. A year after spending a lot of money in this store, the flooring is still not fixed. Laminate boards were taken up by the fitter after they all bowed, but he never came back to fix it despite arranging and failing to attend on multiple occasions. My Mum rang Nick, the manager, who failed to register the complaint (as the new manager advises me) and constantly fobbed her off. My mum has just recently had an advanced cancer diagnosis, and I couldn?t believe her floor still wasn?t fixed when I went to visit her at her home (she usually visits me at mine). I decided to go into Carpet Right at Blackburn to explain and ask for their help, as she?s struggling with her mobility which doesn?t help when a whole section of floor boards are not even fitted, showing the underlay. The new manager Martin was sympathetic and tried to help, but head office have said this isn?t their issue, it?s the fitter?s responsibility. This is the fitter that they recommended! She didn?t get a choice of fitters. They have done nothing but take advantage of her as a single older lady, constantly lying to her, even telling her they couldn?t fix it because they no longer had any laminate fitters, apparently. Then they said 12 months had passed so her guarantee had gone? even though she complained within weeks of the original fitting (Nick never added it to the system to log the complaint). Now they?ve just rang me to say the fitter was sub-contracted and it?s not their liability, she needs to ring him and take it up with him. Luckily my husband is a solicitor so he?ll look into the contractual side of things, but I just find the whole dealing of the situation a complete disaster, and in my eyes this is a reputational risk for Carpet Right. If that was my company, I?d be making sure this was fixed. Be very careful if you?re using this store. Apparently Nick left them in a complete mess with so many complaints that weren?t rectified. Don?t be one of them, and if you do buy the carpets or laminates, then make sure you get your own reputable fitter. I hope head office staff who make these decisions sleep well at night, knowing you?ve left a lady with an advanced cancer diagnosis, who is struggling to walk properly, who now has a greater falls risk because of a botched job from your recommended fitter. Shame on you.
