DO NOT VISIT IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES.
this place is lovely and the food is delicious however we visited over the weekend my son has a dairy and soya ALLERGY. they are not up to scratch with allergies at all, told me it was an intolerance, chef refused to speak to me after the staff didn't understand. Because he doesn't need an epi pen they just didn't care. They also had absolutely NO dairy free desserts never mind dairy and soya free even though they advertise to do so and even have it written on their menu to ask for dairy free options. Staff just really didn't care as they seem to have little to no understanding on allergies IGE or non.

We went for Saturday brunch after being encouraged by good reviews, including a picture of Queen Elizabeth II exiting the cafe?s main door. Car parking was easy. We took our well behaved small dog with us, but disappointed she wasn?t allowed inside. Most cafes we visit allow her in. There was a cool nip to the air and outside cyclists occupied most tables. Undeterred we sat down at the empty bench table next to the toilet block. The food and drink were very nice. I had poached eggs on granary toast and my partner had a sausage sandwich. I had tea & my partner had cappuccino. Just over £18. We were impressed by the cake display near the till and so purchased a three pieces to take home. Another £13. So far we have only eaten the Victoria sponge and we both thought it was a bit dry.
We will be returning, although Belle will probably be left at home.

First visit for the wife and I, won?t be the last! The food was delicious, local produce is the best. As for the cakes that we took away?fabulous?a 1000 calories per bite but what the hell! ??

Very disappointed with the meal we had today at Light Ash Farm. I don?t know if it has changed hands but the whole experience was a let down. I had the Beef burger and my friend had the chicken goujons and both were a let down. The onion rings on my burger were not cooked properly, the batter was soggy and the onion were raw. The skin on fries tasted of oil that needed filtering/changing. My friend said her chicken goujons were hard and chewy, the milkshake tasted like it hadn?t been mixed properly, the cake we had was dry, didn?t taste fresh. I used to love going to Light Ash Farm for food but after today?s experience I won?t be going again. Our bill came to £45 and for that price expected better.

Lovely tearoom but not just for afternoon tea although they did look fantastic. The new yorker wraps and chips were excellent, and the mocha coffee the nicest ive had in a long time. It's a bit out of the way but well worth the visit and plenty of people seek it out so it must be good. The cake selection is awsome. And you can take cakes home.2
