Lovely pub in a scenic small country village. Called in for a drink as it seem like an ideal rest stop whilst out on a family walk. The young lady behind the bar was great, very informative and helped us out by giving us directions back to Barley where we had parked. We didn't eat as we had a picnic but from what we saw the menu looked really good with reasonable prices. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again and eat there next time. And thanks to the young lady we made it back to the car in one piece.

The food was ok but overpriced for the quality being served. £21 for a mediocre burger is too much. The Caesar salad was ok but it used too much dressing and the chicken was processed. The Sunday roast was again ok but my wife had eaten better at our local. The butter chicken was a small portion with no veg which was an extra and would have cost nearly £30 for a small chicken main! I doubt we would return.

I ordered my food and it took ages to come to the table. By the time it arrived the salad was wilted, my chicken was dry and it looks like my child?s sausages were rushed cooked as they did not look nice inside. The skin of the sausages was that thick I couldn?t even cut it with my knife, the mash looked like it had been microwaved or placed under the heated lamp that it was dry and crumbly by the time it got to the table. Disappointing!

Went here for dinner. Said on line and on the sign outside that food is served until 8. We got there at 7.40 and the lady behind the bar said they have stopped serving food.
I have eaten here before and the food has always good.
Would recommend booking so you don't waste your time.

Really enjoyed our visit to Bay Horse. Wasn?t expecting such good food & drink. Pies were amazing, we were told there may be a 25 min delay as all home made, well no more than 20 mins and well worth it, steak & chicken were delicious. Lovely staff in a proper country pub.
