We had lunch on Saturday- 1st time we?d been in for years! Great service from friendly smiling staff. Lovely food served quickly at very reasonable prices- we will definitely be back.

Very nice old thatched pub and pleasantly refurbished.The staff were very courteous and the food was lovely when it arrived ,a slight mix up with one of the orders but that was ok although it did take a while to come,I think it might be best to advice that there maybe a wait then customers know.

Called in for lunch 8/8/25
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our food, the service and the atmosphere was great, dogs welcome too, Bailey our spaniel came along too.

First time trying the Hob Inn since the new owners have taken over, and it was absolutely amazing, and exceeded all expectations. The food was seriously some of the best 'proper pub grub' we have had. The triple cooked trips were to die for, and possibly the best we have had, and a special shout out to the Steak and Ale pie! absolutely recommend, and we will definitely be returning. Also, amazing staff, in such a warm and friendly environment. ??????????

Just popped in for a drink and decent to have some food, the place Seemed quiet and that can be a bad sign but how wrong can you be! We both opted for the steak pie with home made chips and was served by the Tim the friendliest Barman you?d ever want to meet, the meal took some time to come out but it was because it was cooked to orders and fresh, a lovely young lady served us and check on us a little later after to see if our food was ok, and yess the food was amazing, fresh, hot and delicious. we will be returning in the very near future to see what other delicious food they serve. 10/10

This pub is very tired. Hardly anybody was using it's facilities when we visited a few weeks ago. Food was ok. Service was again ok nothing special. Don't think I would rush to go back.

Food was absolutely brilliant and a perfect place for a business meeting with a new client. Our party had Pizza, chicken burger and Steak pie. (I was on the chicken burger, but I could have easily eaten any one of the dishes on our table)
Tom looked after us really well, food was piping hot, absolutely delicious, we were in and out within the hour and even offered a loyalty card for future team visits.
Brilliant value and we?ll definitely be back again soon.

Friendly staff, good food both highly complimented by the historical significance of the venue. Knowing the events that happened here during WW2 (honoured and remembered inside and outside)made the visit an experience. Will be back!

Cute pub with interesting history, however the food left a lot to desire. Order what was suppose to steak, onion, melted cheese sandwich on cibatta with gravy. Received beef on white bread with butter. The chips were soggy and tasted like they were cooked in old oil. My husband's food was never even put in. Have drink, read about the history, but avoid the food
