Happened upon the Rose n bowl after visiting Bacup for a walk. Wow...the Sunday carvery was fantastic. Never been given so much meat at a carvery before. Left with full, happy stomachs. Definitely recommend.

Awful experience today. Walked in with my daughter and a knee high dog to sit and have a nibble and a drink on our walk and was greeted by the manager being told the dog is too big and there's people eating. I reminded her the website and the pub are dog friendly but apparently there are some buts and maybes. Food was terrible here last time we came anyway so won't be coming back.

Would give this place 10 stars if I could! The carvery is incredible. We've been coming here for at least 10 years - purely for the carvery. It's a 45 minute drive from where we lived in the UK but is absolutely worth it. The owners are just amazing - so lovely, so helpful. It is just such a delightful place. We have now moved to live in Spain and will still 100% make at least one annual trip to come back to The Rose N Bowl for the delicious food and superb service! Thanks for having us!

Came here on Saturday night 7 th Dec The food was amazing Carvery all piping hot fresh food Delicious is a complete understatement,the staff are amazing too.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free option on the carvery Yorkshire pudding and Gravy made special , nothing too much trouble .
Parking: Excellent service and food !!
