Absolutely perfect full English. Exactly what it?s supposed to be. Food came piping hot, nothing too fancy or trying to be something it?s not. Honestly one of the best full English I?ve had for a long time. Staff are great, chefs can be seen cooking and they clearly care about what they?re serving. Can?t praise this place enough!

Visited for the first time today with 2 other friends who had highly recommended the breakfast, the breakfast was a proper English fry up cooked perfectly, service was excellent and the place itself is very clean with a nice chilled atmosphere, will definitely be making it my regular breakfast spot. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Once again my self and wife had dinner today 09/10 I had braising steak and the wife chicken it was lovely well worth every penny.the staff are very friendly certainly well recommend thanks once again.bob

My friend and I can usually have a meal once a fortnight at the stables . Always fresh food prepared . Excellent food and great service.
Many Saturdays we pop in for the breakfast . Delicious food .

Thank you to Michael, Lorraine and staff at the Abbey/ Owd stables. There were 17 of us for a meal on Wednesday 2nd October and from start to finish everything was spot on.
Food was hot and tasty, and throughout the evening nothing was to much trouble.
This is how it should be done.

My other half picked the Th'Owd Stables for breakfast today. There was quite a range on the menu, not just for breakfast. So we had one stallion breakfast , toast ,coffee & fresh orange juice & one normal breakfast, toast ,tea & fresh orange juice, roughly £24. Very nice it was to, I couldn't take a pic as camera decided to play up ,but you can see what others have taken on the web. All in all, worth a visit if you're passing .
Parking: Can be tricky finding parking space & some have an hour time slot . Warner St, Oak St & Bank St are closer or there's Abbey st car park

What a fantastic Mothers Day meal myself and our family had today.
From start to finish all was prepared and organised so well, the food was delicious, all piping hot which is an absolute bonus, desert was to die for!! Staff are brilliant and we all had a fab time. Thanks Lorraine, Mick, Paige, Janine and Jamie and the bar staff. Xx

Found this on maps and decided to try it out, so glad I did, what a gem, from the staff, to the ambiance and food, all 5 stars.My fav brunch place now.Pity it's such a small space which on busier days wont be easy to get a table.Has a lovely outside beer garden for the sunny days.

Food is first class this is a proper cafe. The atmosphere in here is brilliant with some nice music to compliment (not loud). Staff are just lovely couldn?t say a bad thing about them. Polite and efficient. Two weeks of working up this way has been a pleasure to have a nice breakfast. There?s more than just breakfast here so just pop down and check it out.
