We went here during the sale and I managed to get some very nice clothes for my son. We went with my mother in law and she bought herself some new clothes however she had to return them as after getting them home and trying them on she found they were too small even though she had picked up her size.

Called in on Wednesday 27th December to return an item of clothing, only to be told "sorry, we're not accepting returns today". So I asked why, and was told "we've just been told not to". So thanks for that Matalan, really appreciate the wasted journey. Spoke with customer services who were as confused as I was as to why they couldn't process the refund, and promised to investigate.

On arrival I could smell a musty dirty smell near the door it did improve as I walked round the store when I got to the till was asked card or cash in a very abruptly manner I said cash they got my shopping out the basket and put each item under the scanner than to one side half way through he walked off to deal with another customer returning an item he came back took my cash gave me my change and walked off items still his side of the till area no asking if I wanted a bag or please take your items no thanks for calling please call again or any good customer service skills never ever been anywhere that bad before training very much needed
