My husband and I came here for Sunday roast today, and it was absolutely wonderful! We had the roast beef, and it was fantastic. I'm usually wary of roast potatoes becoming soggy once gravy is poured over them, but theirs were the crispiest we've ever had, even with the gravy. The staff were also incredibly polite and friendly, which just added to the whole experience.

If you're ever in Westerham and looking for somewhere to go for a very good lunch or dinner then go to the Grasshopper on the Green.
Excellent food, but remember you're in a pub and the portions aren't skimped on... on ANY of the courses. Service is very good, even though I always sit upstairs (but I always let the barstaff know I'm going up there, after all, they're not psychic and unless there are other people up there they won't know you're there)
Upstairs has more of a 'restaurant' feeling about it, while downstairs you can get the same quality food and sit near the roaring fire or watch football, sport, on the TV.
On a day when the sun is shining you can sit outside and enjoy a pint and food, even sitting across the road on The Green.
The Landlord and his missus are usually very visible and very approachable.... DO let them know if you have a problem, they are always happy to rectify for you. The staff are equally as friendly and helpful. Parking can be difficult, as anyone who has been to Westerham will know but, if you can't get parked on the Green or Market Square, directly opposite (beside Orvis) there is the entrance to a small, cheap car park. Alternatively you can drop your passengers, drive down Vicarage Hill towards Quebec House and there is a very large public car park..... DO NOT be tempted to park illegally..... Traffic Wardens will eat you in Westerham!! Sundays are no longer free parking anywhere in Westerham, mores the pity for the shop holders!!!

Came here today after a long country walk with the Mrs and friends. Food was awesome! My Grasshopper whopper burger was first class and my chips were fat, crispy and very delish. Highly recommend this beautiful old pub and we will deffo be returning very soon for more. Massive thanks to the wonderful staff.

Excellent pie (big chunks of steak), mash and various veg, piled high, with thick gravy. Ribeye steak succulent, coming with big fat chips. Desserts well worth going for too. All this with real ale, a view from upstairs over the village green, and the romance of a 700 year old pub. Visit!

We had an incredible Sunday roast here! We chose the beef and lamb, with a cheesy cauliflower bake on the side. The meat was tender, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. The friendly team and impeccable service made the experience even better. I highly recommend coming here for a roast - you won?t be disappointed!

Food ok but roast pretty poor. We went as a family today and beef was so tough we couldn't eat it. ! Very low quality. When we told waitress she said nothing. No customer service. We got brought the bill and asked for 1 meal discount which she gave us but said absolutely nothing. Such a shame. I was the lucky one and had salad ! We so need a place where we can get an amazing Sunday roast. They do good chilli chips mid week though. Stick with that next time.

Superb pub food. I had Prawn/Salmon Cocktail - generous/fresh followed by pie and mash - unbeatable. My wife had soup(which was hot - you?d be amazed at how many places serve lukewarm) with crusty fresh bread, followed by Sea Bass beautifully cooked (so easy to over cook) - excellent chef ???

Cosy and friendly. Good coffee. Refreshing menu with variety and healthy options instead of death by chips on every front!
