I literally think this must be the best pub in London, all round pub that is. The staff and especially management are absolutely 10/10. It merges the best of old school London pubs with modern pubs. Beautiful design, fantastic food and well looked after beer. Have never had a bad experience.

Excellent staff who looked after us amazingly well. The chicken salad was the best I have ever had. My partner enjoyed his fish and chips. We both enjoyed the Guiness too.
The George is a gorgeous old pub and was very busy when we visited however we enjoyed the buzz. Thank you for having us.

I?d been looking forward to dining at The George for some time, especially after having such wonderful experiences at places like The Knave of Clubs and The Devonshire. Sadly, our lunch didn?t quite live up to those expectations, and we left feeling quite deflated.
We started with the bread and Guinness butter, which was absolutely delicious once it arrived ? though it did take a long time to come, and there was no mention from our server about any delay in the kitchen. Nearly an hour into our seating, we still hadn?t received our mains, and when we asked for an update, we were told ours would be ?next out.?
In the meantime, we requested another bottle of water for the table. When we poured it, my girlfriend noticed it tasted strange, and when we turned the bottle around, we were shocked to find a cigarette butt floating inside. We let the floor staff know straight away, but the response felt a little lacklustre, and we were still waiting for our mains.
When the mains did arrive, they unfortunately didn?t quite make up for the wait. The fish was very small, served with a handful of chips just a little tartare sauce and peas, and the fried chicken burger didn?t really seem fried through and was a little undercooked.
We?d been hoping for a really special lunch, especially after hearing so many positive reviews from friends, but unfortunately the food and service fell short on this occasion.
Gutted? maybe it was an off day?

It is a little spenny but the quality of what you get is sensational! Seasonal spicy peach margarita was mind blowing, full of flavour, strong and fresh. Had starters and then steak that was beautifully cooked, the silkiest peppercorn sauce, crispy skinny fries and creamed spinach that was also perfectly seasoned. All of their food is top tier. We were served by Bryan who is such a wonderful character. The nicest experience, I couldnt recommend it enough.

I was contemplating between the Sunday roast or fish and chips. Opted fish and chips and I did not disappoint. However, I do feel the portion size for the mushed peas is way too little and overall it?s a bit on the oilier side. I understand it?s fried food but the end of my meal, I saw the amount of oil and feeling oh my god ? the Guinness is good!

I had my birthday party at The George last weekend and could not have been happier. The service, attention and thoughtfulness from staff ? particularly the GM, Nic, who oozes hospitality ? were really special. The food is fantastic here, too; surpasses any ?pub food? I?ve had in London. Will be back again and again.

Thieves operate in the area be careful! Lovely pub but on a Friday night my phone was stolen inside the venue at a table at the far back. As it was very busy a person was able to walk in pretending to sell flowers, and grab my phone which was only on the table for a second. As much as I love the pub as it truly is fun with an excellent live band, it is not immune to thieves in the area. Be very careful with your phone and other valuables. The staff can only do so much on busy nights.

Great pub vibe. Excellent food. Friendly and attentive service/staff. We had a lovely dinner with our family at four while visiting London. Would highly recommend it!
