We came here because of its reputation with mussels. We weren?t disappointed overall. The mussels are so plump, juicy and plentiful. We had 4 different sauces, but the photos ended up all looking the same! What I liked was the sauce was full of herbs and finely chopped vegetables, really generous. The sauces were pretty good, but there are too many to choose from.
The scallop starter was really tasty and soft, with a beautiful tasting sauce. The fried whitebait was also good. The squid was a little on the overcooked side, but entirely satisfactory.
The desserts, apart from the creme brûlée (which was as you would want it, crispy top and really smooth vanilla custard) were underwhelming. The pancakes were cold (not sure why) and the raspberry tart tasted overly sweet and just not very nice, with less than mediocre pastry.
You can?t go wrong with the seafood.

Not as good as we have experienced in many visits previously. The same items on the menu are not the same quality as previously and the explanation given by staff was weak.
Tonight's visit to Frank's was totally different in every way 4 July 2025. Excellent in every way and the staff were great. We'll be back again soon.

Just taken my wife to Frank's for her birthday. The food, atmosphere and service was really good, and I would have given 5 stars across the board except for one thing on the service. Please wait to take our dishes away, after we have literally taken our last mouthful. It's great that your staff are attentive, but give us time to enjoy the delicious food before taking our plates away !!

Visited here last Saturday lunchtime. The food was great with alot of choice. Food was great. The drink selection was unique also with some nice beers. We were served by Grace who was lovely. Will definitely come back again soon.

Great food, great service, nice ambience.
The bill hurt, but then we did order the most expensive things on the menu and once the bank balance recovers we'll definitely go back!

We had a great time whilst dining at the restaurant and I initially really enjoyed my meal. However, the problems started when I got home as it soon became evident that I had food poisoning? I?ll spare everyone the details, but let?s say that it was a pretty horrendous weekend after that.

Superb mussle restaurant with a great variety of tastes, good wine and quick service. One muscle portion is actually enough for two people and the prices reasonable.

Wonderful evening, friendly and efficient staff, fabulous food, lovely atmosphere.
We shared a starter and cheese board as the mains are plentiful. Beef bourguignon delicious and bacon and brie mussels platter was amazing
