This pub really needs to raise its game. On the surface it could have potential, but it?s let down by avoidable basics.
The barmaid was friendly and gave a great first impression. Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended.
Drinks: Massively overpriced ? £15.50 for two gin and tonics, and not even a slice of fresh lime or lemon. That?s a basic ingredient in the drink, and without it the experience felt cheap and disappointing. For the price charged, this is completely unacceptable.
Toilets: Absolutely disgusting. One toilet had a broken seat and the ladies? had no lock on the door. This is a shocking lack of basic maintenance.
Cleanliness & atmosphere: The whole bar feels tired, unloved and in need of a deep clean.
Overall, this place gives the impression of a pub that relies on a handful of regulars and passing trade rather than making any effort to win repeat customers. A few straightforward changes could make a big difference?but as it stands, I wouldn?t recommend it

Delicious breakfast and such good value! Eggs cooked fresh and to your preference, and the buffet is unreal! Sausages are good quality and nothing is cheap. Will be back!

Best roast dinner i?ve ever had out. Usually when you go out for a roast dinner there is always something that doesn?t quite hit the mark, usually the potatoes! Donna is an amazing cook, everything hit the spot! 100000% recommend

Very nice pub just across from Wateringbury station, tried a Sunday dinner and it was one of the best I've had actually, I chose belly pork and it came with all the trimmings. Nice seating area at the front and at the back of the pub, close to the river and all other attractions. Recommended ?????

Enjoyed a couple of pints mid walk here, but the next day we arrived as it was closing at 6:45, shame as the beer the night before was good!
