Great village pub. Inside and outside seating. Lovely food and good range of drinks. Great spot to catch up with friends. Comfortable chairs/sofas inside. Kids menu and there is a children's playground just across the road. Dogs welcome.

Tried to book for tonight ( Saturday)and asked for 7pm. Was told 'chef SHOUKDbe back by then, abd when I said I'd like to eat in the restaurant not the bar I was told they don't have any logs to put the fire on. Needless to say I declined which is a shame as Sunday roast was good....altho had to leave straight after as it was so cold in there .

The pub internally looks quite nice, food is quite ok, I had a sunday roast which was quite good, I would just change in roasted cheese cauliflower - remove the bechamel sause which makes kind of fatty and heavy taste - but this is only my opinion. My wife had a barbecue roast ribs which was very tasty, was perfectly cooked - meat comming off the bone but not dry. The sauce was very nice unlike most of bbq sweet sauce was kind of home made not too sticky and not so sweet, just good as it should be.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull, our food comes a bit delayed so they offered beers on the house - this was really nice of them.

With alot of old village pubs closing !! it was nice to see a busy pub with a great atmosphere + a good selection of beers

We popped in for a lunchtime meal. The service was efficient and friendly and the food was good with decent portion sizes.

I was served by the lady in the lovely red blazer- didn?t take her name unfortunately but couldn?t of been any nicer, gave me the free Wi-Fi when I was having issues with my phone served us promptly and always smiling and friendly. Been out for many a roast recently and have always been left feeling disappointed we?ll not here! The price the most reasonable I?ve seen with also the biggest portion! Food was out in 20 mins and all fresh and seasoned ? also the cheesiest cauliflower ever!! And massive bonus for me the had apple crumble which was also out very quick and was absolutely gorgeous so I made it to work on time this evening feeling very stuffed and happy. Highly recommend, thank you all at the villager ??

Fantastic pubs have plenty of choices for beers ? and wines ?and pub snacks. we use this pub on a regular basis as a destination on Thursday nights CTC Gravesend ride
