Manager Alice deserves recognition for exceptional customer service. Needed some decking boards of a particular type to finish my garden decking. She went over and above to get me the 4 I needed quickly.

Mixed bag, but not great on the whole. When we first went in, one saleman was saying some items were cheap and nasty, then when we suggested others, he was making out that they were very expensive and we probably couldn't afford. Didn't realise they checked our finances before we walked in. He didn't bother to recommend anything in between. We went back and spoke to someonw else who was incredibly helpful, but now they have our money, it's pretty clear that they don't want to help any more. Have a small issue that we have emailed and called about, no response despite them saying so.We're still in a position to refund and go to Howdens, so this possibly is becoming more and more likely.Happy to amend review after some good service and them doing what they say they would. It's a shame, because we used them years ago and they were great. I guess management and staff have all changed and not for the better.

On the occasions I'm on the hunt for something supplied by Wickes I've often ended up headed for their Tunbridge Wells branch. I can't fault the team. Managers always friendly, knowledgeable (not afraid/embarrassed to seek a second opinion) get the job done with a minimum of stress. It must be said that when a team just seems to get on with one another it shows. We'll done and thank you.

No point whatsoever in going to this awful shop. Staff have clue, no stock and what is there is incorrectly priced, strangely always in their favour. Too stressful to contemplate going again.

There is a certain rude little girl at the till, unfortunately never caught her name but her eye lashes are as long as she is tall. Proper attitude on her who has about as much customer skills as brussel sprout.Clearly don't want to work there so she should pack up her things and vacate for the sake of the customers who have to endure her miserable face.

Bizarre mixture: they did a 5 star job of our new kitchen, but a 1 star botch of the new kitchen floor!Wickes did an amazing job designing and installing our new kitchen, but they dropped the ball when it came to the kitchen floor. The rest of the kitchen was expertly designed with one of their sales consultants, but when it came to the kitchen floor we were simply sent downstairs to pick some off the shelf. We were sold the wrong type of underlay, and then (after switching to the correct type - without a refund, but instead a gift voucher for the price difference) after the floor was installed, within weeks the floor was cracked and falling apart. The installers were informed and said that they?d never seen such a bad floor, and that they would refuse to install that type of floor from now on if Wickes instructed them to (the installers are contracted by Wickes, so they can turn around and refuse to install defective products like this - so it was good to have them on our side). We (eventually, after a lot of chasing) got a full refund for the cost of the floor and it?s installation. So, we love our new kitchen - it?s brilliant... apart from the floor, which we?ve now employed an expert carpenter to replace! So, by all means use Wickes for your kitchen, but don?t trust them with the floor. Go elsewhere for that part of the work.

Do use their bathroom design service! Ordered a bathroom suite they designed but then couldn't deliver. When it did arrive, it didn't fit our bathroom and the sink unit they specified didn't fit the base units. They weren't able to supply a specified radiator in time so we had to source one ourselves... Turns out they hadn't canceldl or refunded it so it arrived 6 weeks after our bathroom installation had been completed! Now, no surprise, they are refusing to refund the surplus to requirement radiator. Never have experienced such unprofessional service...

Wickes Tunbridge Wells has been hopeless in every way from the moment we signed off on the design. Once they have you committed their service disappears entirely. From having to chase for over 2 months to have the parking fine cleared from the design appointment, to delays in fitting because they weren't able to amend their item list or finance agreements in time, despite months of notice. before fitting. Dealing with Wickes is painful and their team is sorely in need of customer service training. Would not recommend them at all.

Tried to buy a kitchen, man came round to measure up. I had an idea what I wanted it involved 800mm units, he said fine and spent an hour measuring up. I went to the shop for a follow up consultation (2hour round trip plus petrol) and the first thing he said was they don't do 800 units. A complete waste of everyone's time. If they offer to send Steve Ford round just say no and hang up. One star is to many but I couldn't give any less.
