To get to our room 51, we had to climb 67 steps up 5 flights of narrow staircases each time. The bed was a small 4ft wide 'double' sleigh style bed, completely impractical for someone over 6ft to sleep in! The room hadn't been cleaned properly before we had access as there was someone else's hair spray bottle behind an armchair. The en suite toilet you had to push the lever back up to stop the cistern continually emptying after a flush. There was a table fan running constantly in our room due to no air conditioning. This was supposed to be a superior room!
I get this hotel is in an old building, however at £160 for a Saturday night booked in advance, we would have had better facilities and a comfier stay for less money in a premier inn!

This is actually called the Tunbridge Wells Hotel so hope I am posting my review in the right place!
An excellent place to stay and dine. Great location in the heart of the Pantiles. Our room was tiny but very clean and well kept. We got it last minute on a third party site and were glad we had two nights here.
The breakfast is a small menu but I appreciate the vegetarian selections. The best breakfast I?ve had was the vegetarian Pattie sandwich. Mmm mmmm! Just the right amount of food, two pieces of crusty toast and a savory veggie patty which reminded me of harvest burgers in the 90s when I first became a vegetarian. Very tasty.
They have a 24/7 bar (yaaaaaas) and an excellent wine list. Great dry white wines.
My other breakfast here I ordered salmon and cream cheese toast (instead of a croissant) and the husband got one of the croissants. It was good. Top that off with a nice cold Prosecco and that?s a nice
Saturday morning holiday. :) the guy who waited on us July 12 in the morning gave us outstanding service. Didn?t catch his name but I was impressed overall. He gave us a taxi recommendation which is always helpful.
There was a live jazz band Thursday night outside the hotel and that was very energetic and fun.

Went for lunch today for the festival and the service was terrible. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Every time we asked for something it was taking the waiters so long. We had several different waiters instead of keeping it to one. The food was actually really good though.

Only went in here for a cocktail after work but I have to say the atmosphere was calm and happy,
Staff were friendly and funny.
Have to commend the staff being in catering can be stressful and they always seem to be positive no matter the covers.
Bar manager was a great character,
Lovely espresso martini asked how I wanted it but I said do what you think is best and could fault it.
Thank you guys and girls

The location was good for the beautiful wedding we attended close by at Limekiln Sussex. The food at the Tunbridge Wells Hotel was good with excellent service at the restaurant. However, the hotel accommodation was below par, the room was dusty and dirty, the bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly throughout our 2 nights stay! . Housekeeping was very very poor! The Hotel needs to look into this urgently! We were really disappointed with The Tunbridge Wells Hotel experience!

Good points: A friendly, helpful welcome and a pleasant interaction with all staff. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The hotel is on the Pantiles so the position is great. Relatively cheap overnight parking 1 minute walk away.
Other comments: A standard double for £152 and no breakfast is overpriced for the quality of the room and the stay. £152 and no breakfast included (for a single traveller) feels a little mean esp given the room which was dark, glum and very tired. The view was a fire escape. Very loud A/C fans starting and stopping directly outside. Not very clean and the toilet in-particular had not been cleaned and the evidence was there to see when I arrived. The bathroom sink and the loo were almost unusable due to the positioning and a larger person would really struggle. Tea/coffee hidden behind a wardrobe and you had to reach over things to get to it. As this was a drop and dash type stay I did not bother to comment at the time. I guess you pay for the location but I would go elsewhere if I was staying longer. No reflection on the staff I encountered who were nice.

Fantastic lunch outside, wholesome ingredients, great service and had the most friendly server in Izzy. Felt very welcome and enjoyed our dining experience.

Decent stay here. Comfortable beds, nice showers (with good water pressure!). TV signal was pretty bad and the location on Google maps is currently wrong! Make sure you go to the pantiles as that's where it's based.
