Beautiful tastefully styled traditional pub with super food and surprisingly good accommodation. Easy to find from the train station and well situated amongst the common made for a wonderful 3 day stay.
Room was spacious and well equipped with modern bathroom and decent toiletries.
Breakfast was exceptional and portions generous too. We also ate an evening meal one night and that was very good too. Lovely to see dogs welcomed and the effect was to accentuate what was already a cosy atmosphere.
Can?t recommend enough - great value to stay and overall a very enjoyable experience

Sunday lunch was delicious. Good, efficient service. A little pricey at £20 ish for roast beef, but quality of meal worth the money.

Absolutely lovely. Room was tastefully furnished, had everything I needed. Food was excellent and even more important, all the staff were fabulous and made sure everything was lovely. Definitely recommend xx

Food and drinks: We decided to book a celebratory meal in the restaurant.
It was our first visit since the re-fit & we really loved the atmosphere & ambience that the restaurant provided.
The staff were friendly & attentive & the food was beautifully presented.
I thoroughly recommend that you visit & enjoy this local delight.

A great find! The staff were really friendly and helpful . I enjoyed a few beers in the terrace area and also sat in the CAVE Yes it has a Cave! I opted for a light maple smoked duck salad which was delicious and beautifully presented.

What a wonderful addition to the Mount Edgecombe a superb restaurant extension perfectly in keeping with the atmosphere of a great dinning experience and a lovely view to boot.
The amazing friendly staff as always on hand to meet our ever need, met friends for a tasty dinner and then up our beautiful room for comfortable nights sleep, followed by a harty breakfast ?
If you want a quiet and peaceful in park like grounds you can't get much better than this and only 5 mins walk from town centre and the Pantiles, perfect ?
Perfect two night break ( wife's birthday present and then shopping ) at The Mount Edgcumbe, staff are great, glad to see familiar faces as always nothing too much trouble, food excellent cooked too perfection, very cosy and comfortable rooms and quiet spaces. Reasonably priced and convenient 10mins walk in to town. Thanks again to one and all, see you again soon.
Yet another wonderful night at Mount Edgcumbe great attention to detail and cleanliness, all the same wonderful staff, food excellent as always very tasty. Just love this place a real treat as always thanks again to the team.
Can't thank the Mount Edgcomge and the fantastic staff enough made our 30th anniversary so special without even knowing it, excellent food and attentive staff ( we are in the middle of a family bereavement and really needed to relax ) really lovely to see them busy. The room was superb too they have a beautiful hotel and restaurant and the most amazing team. Thank you so much see you again soon.
Edit :- great to say Wellldone, met family for lunch, excellent food wonderful service from dedicated staff very organised, in the times we currently live in they have installed a marquee and set it up perfectly food is wonderful! Also stayed the night glad to say spotless as usual breakfast great nothing to much staff make you feel valued. A big thank you to all the staff, will be back again soon.
Stayed there twice for birthday treats, last October again just before new year , remebered us very warm welcome, fantastic staff make you feel really relaxed and look after everything for you, food is great, well done to all you deserve to do well. Thanks for a loverly time
