HSBC, located at 105 Mount Pleasant, epitomizes an ideal work environment where employees effortlessly tackle their tasks. In all my years as an adult, I have seldom encountered service as impressive as that of this branch. Banking transcends mere corporate attire and imposing buildings; it's about simplifying processes for clients and prospective customers.
During my visits to sort out account opening procedures, I was struck by the seamless communication among employees. They maintained a friendly banter while efficiently assisting individuals, making the tasks appear effortless?a true display of professionalism. Their willingness to assist clients with any challenges they faced was remarkable. The employees demonstrated diligence without making a fuss.
Every interaction I had at this branch left a positive impression, from the attentive service I received to the way they attended to others in line. Even when I needed to explain my preferences to an employee, their attentive listening and adept handling of my concerns left me thoroughly impressed. A stand out guy that I will always give kudos to is Anthony, he has helped me so many times. Thanks Toni- Overall, my experience at HSBC has been nothing short of exceptional.
You guys just have to keep it up!

Good to see that HSBC have stopped breaching GDPR regarding every aspect of people's account data/details being viewed by members of the public from the public pavements , by finally installing privacy blinds. After all, in the past HSBC has been fined 3 million pounds for careless handling of customers data. But I bet there's still no privacy within the premises, still breaching GDPR.A public lobby (notice the word public) has members of the public within it. It is classed as publicly accessible, and your customers are still legally entitled to privacy within your premises. HSBC has to legally create privacy for their customers.Customers having no choice but to risk publicly showing their account details, details including passwords, secret pass phrases, and passcode is absolutely unacceptable. Making your customers write such sensitive information on a piece of paper and pass it back to a member of staff in the public lobby, is far from secure and in breach of GDPR, let alone discussing such details in the public lobby with other customers listening in on the sensitive conversation. You as a HSBC branch, and the HSBC employees that work there, need to start taking their jobs more seriously, and endeavour to protect the data you're customers have entrusted you with.

Is this bank a sloth convention?

I have just come back from here and if it wasnt for my wife wanting this account I would just close it and go to a decent bank. Three staff behind a desk and no other customer except for me. All three tapping away on their computers, didnt look up when I walk in, then when I walk up to the table one looks up and says how can I help you? I havent got my card and would like to get £80 out of my account please, I have my watch and phone with my card on both. Oh, you can't do that here, you would have to go to tonbridge or Maidstone as we have no counter here. What is the point of this branch, and bank?

Handy location, but as with many banks there are no cashier tills anymore, just self-service cash points.

In person experience is sub par. Straight forward transactions such as money transfers take an excessive amount of time due to staff taking their sweet time to serve you. All business is done out in the open, on a shared desk with other customers who have walked in, resulting in zero privacy. Thankfully I don't need to do my banking in person often, but if I did I'd avoid this branch at all costs.

Friendly & great customer service from the staff at this branch. Had issues with my mobile banking & they were able to resolve it in a very timely & pleasant manner.

All I wanted was the telephone number of the HSBC branch in Tunbridge Wells - (now cashless, I couldn't change a £50 note today) as I had left something in the bank this morning. But can I get it . No! The only telephone number you can get is for a lady in The Philippines who had never heard of Tunbridge Wells and had no idea how to contact a branch directly. Is there an email address for Tun Wells HSBC?

Ongoing increased fees, zero interest, no customer service. You'll have to find a good reason to bank with HSBC. After 6 weeks of leaving, they still haven't closed the business account. If you're looking for a good customer experience, look elsewhere.

Like the review from Alex, the business banking unit at HSBC has pretty much shut down, especially during the pandemic. Staff saying they have moved on and can't help... what a load of cr4p this institution is.Now with their recent letters saying they will be charging for charity and club/association accounts from November 2021, its Zàijiàn to HSBC and hello to the little guy. I look forward to working with the new challenger banks because they deserve their chance too. HSBC's management is inept and stuck in the 1970's. Dream on.

I was greeted at the door and within 5 minutes the staff helped me resolve the issue with my bank card. I have banked with HSBC in other countries, they are usually fast, efficient and friendly.
