Halifax seems to go out of its way to make life as difficult as possible for customers. Confirmation of identity documents have to be certified either in a Halifax branch (of which there are very few left) or by a solicitor who will charge an eye watering amount of money. Proper financial institutions will allow certification by a range of different professions most of whom would not charge. Save your money (and blood pressure) and go to a proper bank.

Shockingly bad!! I went to the counter to pay in 2 cheques, the staff standing in the open said I could use the machine to pay in, not my preference, then getting my account details i got my phone out, the lady said oh pay in using our app.
So she then attempted to try and pay in my cheques using my phone in the branch. This failed after 40 minutes of trying!! So she then attempted to use their machine to pay in my cheques and couldnt do it. So after an hour of waiting i ended up going back into the queue to the counter for them to pay in the cheques!
A total waste of over an hour, where as if they had just left me in the queue i was in at the start, i would have been in and out within 5 mins!!! Stupid on every level and a test of patients.

Worst bank, specifically tumbridge wells branch. My oap father was defrauded £200k and they react by shutting down his accounts. When we were there there were 4 other customers with the same issue. I went in to speak to the team in branch. I let them know how disgusted I was with how they are treating a vulnerable person. They banned me from branch, I didn't swear or abuse. Something very dodgy is going on in branch and I'll be contacting both ico and fca. As well as requesting camera as they have banned me from branch for asking questions. People who work there should be ashamed with how they have treated my father. Disgusting bank.

Barely open and impossible to use if you work full time. More interested in saving themselves money than providing a good service

Staff were rude to an elderly gentleman in front of me who didn?t understand how the machine worked. They explained to him that it wasn?t the machines fault it was his because he clicked the wrong button. Then I had to wait about 10 minutes in a queue to speak to the lady behind the glass who was short and gave me one word answers.

Rude staff, told me do it online. Obviously to much for them to transfer money from one Halifax account to another. Start banking elsewhere.

Well 3 stars not good enough now its not the branches fault that they close earlier it could be lack of staff or finance but whatever Halifax Tunbridge Wells have friendly staff and a great manager I was served by Vivien who is always a delight a lovely lady ? lol.I mean this is a helpful team unlike Natwest.

Keep closing at 2pm and not opening on a Saturday is a joke I'm trying to run a business I need to pay money in to my account . Unbelievable !!!!!!!!!
