I took my car here to have a front wheel balanced (cost of about £10 - 15) as i was experiencing vibration at motorway speeds. They told me to leave the car with them as they were busy (even though I was the only customer there) & they would let me know when it's done, in about an hour. After two hours they hadn't called so I called them & was told the steering rack was worn & it would cost £360 to fit a new one.
Due to my knowledge & experience gained from working as a car & truck mechanic & 40 years of driving vehicles of all sizes from cars to the biggest of trucks & coaches all over the UK, I know what it feels like for a wheel out of balance & because the car had a new MOT which didn't mention worn steering, it was obvious I was being lied to.
After collecting the car from Kwik Fit i took it to a competitor who balanced the wheel, charged me £13 & everything was OK.
That was five years ago and I haven't used Kwik Fit since
Before this i had a similar experience at another branch, where they wanted to replace the exhaust as it was rusty but it was no more than surface rust.

Two very disappointing experiences.The last time I booked an MOT with Kwik Fit it took three separate visits before they finally managed to remove the service reminder on my car display. This time they cancelled my appointment without even having the courtesy to let me know.

The staff conducted a free and immediate inspection to identify the cause, provide a quote (reasonable price), and schedule a repair.
Technician Joe repaired the problem professionally and quickly, providing a detailed explanation and an inspection report.
I left feeling satisfied and safe on the road.

This morning I went into Tonbridge Kwikfit as the tyre pressure warning had come on on my way up from the coast. Within 15 minutes they were checked, sorted, and advice given. Thanks guys for excellent help.

In addition to my previous review. A few days ago, another tire pressure sensor stopped working. This is expected since the car is already 9 years old. But now I had no reason to worry. I bought three sensors (to replace all the old ones) and came to Kwik Fit. Everything was done quickly, professionally, without problems, as I expected. Constantly brilliant service. Keep it up! Thank you very much!
I had a problem with the tire pressure indicator. And it was my nightmare, because my car is a Chevrolet Captiva (not the most common in the UK) and it is left-hand drive. Many people I contacted did not even want to look at the problem after they found out the make of the car. At Kwik Fit , they repaired it without any problems and very quickly. I was also pleasantly surprised by the price for the repair, it was much lower than what was offered at another garage.
In our time of globalization, car manufacturers use as many standard components as possible and often different brands of cars differ only in body shapes.
Professionals know this and they are not afraid of the brand or which side the steering wheel is on.
The Kwik Fit are professionals!

Kwik Fit fitted new brake disks and pads on my Ford Transit. There was a slight issue with the job and I had to return for it to be rectified. The team went above and beyond to rectify and put right. I am impressed. Would recommend.
