A lovely pork belly, priced at the higher end of pub Sunday lunches.
However my table was presented with one very small dish of vegetables. This was for three (two men and one lady).
We were asked if we wanted another dish so agreed, we had all just done a five mile ramble.
However when we came to pay we realised the second dish had cost us £5.
I would advise the photos on the website reflect the fact that you may just get half a carrot, a teaspoon of cauliflower cheese, ten peas and a string of cabbage!
There is no way this is a dish to be shared between three people! Sorry.
A pub near Gravesend gives an equivalent dish of veg, per person!

I have been using The Plough (Lewson Street) on and off for over 50 years. When I first found this fabulous, charming, really cosy old country pub I lived nearby, there has been very little change in all that time.
The Plough has a well deserved reputation for good pub food, their Sunday Roasts are a big attraction but it doesnt have to be a roast, they have an extensive Sunday Menu.
Its always a risk with Roast Beef hoping it will be tender and not shoe leather!
And it was tender. The potatoes were good and so was all the veg but we thought it a little skimpy for three adults. However we all enjoyed our meals. A very nice Sunday lunch and the icing on the cake was Bob the Parrot said 'Good Bye' as we left, I think that is a first for me in about 30 years LoL.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at The Plough Inn again for their hospitality. It was a pleasant stay with the motorhome in their parking lot. We thoroughly enjoyed a local beer and an excellent dinner. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra night. It's very peaceful there at night. During our stay, we took some lovely walks along the fruit orchards in the area. If we're ever back in the area, we know where we'll want to stay.

Food lovely, nice Sunday roast. Only negative is that lunch seems to come with 2 small roast potatoes. Was left wanting more. Great pint of Master Brew.

Lived in Kent all my life, passed Lewson Street many times thinking must give the Plough Inn a look as somewhere to eat, Sunday 1st June 2025 I bit the bullet.
We were undecided on where to eat and as I cook the majority of meals it?s nice to have a break from cooking, we?d been to Faversham Antiques Fair and we had a couple of options and I said to Maggie let?s go to the Plough, if we can?t get a table for two we can at least survey the pub and restaurant for a return visit, we were pleasantly surprised that we could be accommodated although we hadn?t a booking.
The roast Lamb and Beef dinners were beautiful a lovely sweet to follow leaving us duly stuffed ready for our journey home for a relaxing afternoon, I used my standing compliment, ?lovely meal I now feel like ten men, 9 dead 1 wounded?, meaning the beautiful meal had hit the spot and I was pretty full.
We will return and book in advance, lovely ambience, our host was very hospitable and the staff on the ball, lovely old building. Many thanks.

Amazing food, friendly staff, always busy! A day later I'm still completely stuff! The homemade pie is too die for, and the plum crumble, delicious, although I was a little disappointed that there was no Gypsy Tart on the menu ? can't wait until next time!

One of the best gastropubs in the south east. Casual atmosphere, great food and a lovely village setting with surrounding walks and cycling routes.

Lovely, very friendly owners created a beautiful place. We truly enjoyed everything: beers and food, the atmosphere and felt at home far away from home. Oh, whilst writing this I'm getting hungry.

Very old pub in need of a little updating. Staff lovely, food good. A little expensive so only had a snack. And will visit again!
