A very small store, but with a surprisingly good range considering that. Clearly not really much of a suprise in what type of goods it does sell though.

Not many WHSmith's shops left on the high streets these days and that is a shame as they used to have shop's everywhere.
I think that the problem with WHSmith's is the price, it used to be very affordable, however about 5-6 years ago everything they sell you could get it cheaper if you shopped around.
I have to admit that they do have a pretty comprehensive range of products ranging from newspapers, magazines, stationary, wrapping paper, greetings cards, soft drinks, sweets and cigarettes but unfortunately as I mentioned they are more expensive than on most items.
They do sell a very good range of greetings cards that you will only be able to find in WHSmith's and are obviously unique to them.
The shop is very well laid out inside and the staff, although a bit sparse are friendly and helpful.
Tenterden is generally more expensive because of it being a good tourist attraction and maybe that is why it is expensive. However it is conveniently situated and Ideal for a quick shipping visit.
